[40d] Return of bug 780 and non-speaking adventurers

bug 000780 [adventure mode][crime]   town guard becomes a criminal after getting an adventurer's stolen weapon stuck in his body

I'd like to expand on this. I was playing a modded in ironman to test some things and put on a whole set of stolen iron equipment. Then i was attacked by a guard (for some reason everyone else ignored me until i was attacked, which i will take as a feature).

My stolen spear got stuck in the guard and a passing shopkeeper wrestled my helmet off. An axeman joined in too. After i died they started a free-for-all and the guard's weapon got stuck in the axeman. A whole bunch of other people came in, including another guard with a maul and killed them all (the shopkeeper managed to kill a child before going down). Then everyone just went about their business, some with a limp.

I was kinda hoping for a town-wide free-for-all, but it was still rather entertaining.

An unrelated bug, but despite my ironman not having the [CAN_SPEAK] tag or something that implied it, he was fully able to talk to people. This should probably be changed.


Edit: I'll try and get a repeat of the criminal bug and get screenshots this time.
