Added to my fresh copy of DF (with the exception of my two additions ^) I've added all of the megabeasts (except FSM) and this is how it came out.

I noticed a lot more lag than I usually get and world gen was slow. There was a lot more death than usual, ending up with over 3000 people left at the end. World gen stopped at the year 213. Here is the first (useless) screenshot:

After the offloading, I immediately went to legends mode. Here is another screenie:

The first page was every single megabeast and a mudman god. The three fail megabeasts were the fat demon (d. 1), the ruin golem (d. 2), and the creepy baby (d. 6).
Spoiler: FAIL! (click to show/hide)

The Brain Demon was pretty successful... until he died in 49...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I also noticed something odd about the diamond demon...

The bastard hates kobolds... -.-

Next I looked at the hell cat.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I think it had 41 kills. :P

Then the fluffy bunny, one of the few surviving megabeasts.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The next surviving one was pwny and it did some pwning...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
It has nearly two pages of enemy civs.

Without further adue? Now, here is the list!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I was going to play around in adventure mode but then I noticed my mod failed. :P I mean, there were no elves!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I checked fort mode and saw that the surviving retreats were controlled, fully, by humans or dwarves! YAY! THE WORLD HAS BEEN PURGED OF SCUM!!!

F*CK YOU TREE MANDATES!!

So bunnies like eating feet, it seems. And... er... living in sewers, I guess.

The raccoon's still there, though.  Just chilling out.  Being a raccoon in some rocks.

You get way more megabeasts if you gen a world with custom settings instead of default settings. For my test gens, its not uncommon to get 4 pages of megabeasts.

and don't be surprised if they don't seem that awesome yet, i'm still testing and tweaking and modifying them.

Wait, how? I've been fiddling with custom settings and I've never gotten more than a page and a half of megabeasts on the largest size map. And most of 'em died...

Thanks, anywho. I'd like to see a cthulhu monster, or at least a shoggoth.

Wilbur is fine, too.

I'm pretty sure megabeasts are supposed to go in Creatures_Standard, actually, if memory serves. Creatures_Fanciful is for things like phoenixes that (I don't think) actually exist in the world... at least, I've never encountered any of the beasts listed in them...

I figured demons came from the 50 or so years of inbreeding between the things, like some weird goblin evolution.
I now have justification for genocide. Thank you.

All the standard megabeasts and semi-megas are in the creatures_standard.txt file, so I'd suggest putting the new ones there.

Although, if I understand the files properly, you could throw the new creatures in any creature_(name).txt file and the game wouldn't mind.

For the guy wanting 4 pages of MB's, have you copied all my monsters? you seems to get more megabeasts for the more you have in the game.

and yes, all my creatures are in creature_standard.

not that it matters any.

Speaking of the terrors of carp, I'm going to add an enormous, demonic catfish creature that will live in cave pools and underground seas, and will actually be even more terrifying than the mighty carp.

While reading about mega beasts the idea struck me....CHUCK NORRIS! He would have an extremely high damblock and would roundhouse kick anything to death. For more information please check this website: www.chucknorrisfacts.com

edit:thanks to the_taken for pointing that out :P

Drops: Nothing.

Seriously, you won't be able to beat him.

All you can do is seal up you fortress and hope he goes away, because he'll absolutely slaughter anything he looks at funny.

These Chuck Norris jokes are really getting old

Could you post your settings then? I'd love to see a sick amount of Mega's in my worlds.

Also, you could do something like a Mobling, a very, very small ant/spider like critter that is extremely fast ^^.
Or a giant worm, is it possible to make things dig?
It would eat right trough your walls :D

You have a typo in the url. It's linking to a shady redirector site.
