What does the hyphens by "Goblins" mean when your choosing an embark site?

I believe that's "At War" or "I'm Really Mad At You, Will Raid You, But Am Not Quite 'At War' Yet".

Usually war, or unstable relations. I've always gotten red ones for the war-like one. (And white/grey ones for the few that comes to trade, surprisingly )

Must be the first, cause it says "WAR" when you'r at war.

My gobbos must be an inherently cheerful and jolly bunch for I have yet to see WAR on that particular screen.

It's a workaround while diplomacy is being fixed.

Do you really want goblins sending you caravans while you're at peace diplomatically?

I do! Kind of. I keep hearing about peaceful goblins sending caravans, and am wondering how one brings this about.

Better than elves, that's for sure  ;D And well... you have to be part of a civ that's at peace with at least one group, and find a spot that's within reach. It's happened to me a few times and slightly randomly.
