(Community) Survivor: Sealpant

ok I got a great idea from Seven Cities of glass to make a Survivor like fortress.
Basically I will use DF Tweak to make the fortress start off with as many dwarfs as there are people that join and it will be like Survivor. then the teams will work together to make a wall to split the map in half and then the game begins. There is going to be a "air lock" to trade between the teams. There are also going to be challenges like: who can make the most of a type of item in a certain amount of time and others. the team that loses the challenge then votes on this thread (or PM me if people want no one else to know) who they want to kick off the team and then that player will be killed somehow. Also all dwarfs start off with no skills.


there are going to be 2 teams:
The Carp
The Elephants

To join to most:
Name your dwarf
what you want to bring with you (200 Points)
what team you want to be on
also you can use some of your points with someone else to bring a item that is more then 200.
your dwarf will then be added.
Note: if there is too many dwarfs on one team I will have to make them even.
also you can PM someone on your team or me if you want your dwarf to do something that you don't want anyone else to know about  ;).

Pictures will be uploaded after there is enough players.

I shall bring: a copper pick, two dogs and 1 any leather armor with 15 plump helmet spawn and the rest of my points will go towards a steel axe with someone elses help.

I ... am not yet convinced how (well) this is going to work technically, but it sounds an awesome enough concept that I am more than willing to sign up!

Items: 1 copper pick, 20 plump helmet spawn, 10 turtle, 15 tower cap logs, 10 dwarven beer, 1 copper crossbow, 1 horse leather armor, 1 horse leather helm, 1 horse leather leggings. (That comes to 195 points. I think.)

Edit: On second thoughts, if team The Carp ends up too popular I'll happily change to The Elephants.

  • 5 rock nuts
  • 5 sweet pod seeds
  • 5 cave wheat seeds
  • 5 dimple cup spawn
  • 10 rhesus macaque leather

That should leave 110 points, which can go into our team's steel battle axe pool.  If it turns out we aren't allowed to pool for more expensive items, or we don't need that many points, I'll pick some more stuff to embark with.

Edit:

Oh, uh, what I want him to do?  Farming, I guess.  Well, farming, threshing and cooking.  -dwarven sugar roasts- for everyone!

I'll put the last 60 into the steel axe pool.

I was using DF to get all the costs but if I got soemthing wrong let me know and I'll fix it.

Also, just to repeat myself: Woo!

EDIT: Labors? Okay, lessee.

I s'pose it really depends upon the amount of people joining, but I would lean towards masonry/stonecrafting/engraving/mechanics.

you are able to pool for items just to make it clear

EDIT: also in your sign up tell me what labors you want your dwarf to do

As the third member of our glorious team, I do say I will give 190 points to compliment Mr. Snuff's pool so that we may purchase an axe. With my last 10, I would enjoy...

+7 Pig Tail Seeds. (7 pts)
+1 Tower Cap Log. (3 pts)

As for labour, I would enjoy weaving/dying/tailoring. I could also cut wood/mine (I notice we have two pickaxes and no miner, unless the good butterfly decides to chip stone). I'll do whatever is necessary to make The Elephants triumph!

Also, a question. Are immigrants allowed/what is the minimum amount you will start with? Please, explain further into this realm.

That's 102 points.  I contribute my remaining 98 points to the group pool if we need something expensive.  Otherwise, I'll pick more stuff later.

well I think the minimum should be around 5 people per a team but more is always good and immigrants would be "go to a better place" if you know know what I mean unless someone would like to claim a peasant as their character. also at one point the two groups may go together and more stuff will happen (still thinking about it).

Oh yeah, I forgot to say that I'd be willing to work as a miner as well whenever necessary.  Anything to speed up large digging projects.
