I know how  you could do it! Might not be "fair" to tell you how, though...

But it's a good bet that most astronauts know Morse, since it does have usefulness in low-bandwidth communications.

If the robot has fingers, it can certainly write in the sand.

I suppose astronauts would know Morse code, but I'll require a couple rolls to make sure everyone involved actually remembers and does it right.

(The Boy and Girl Scouts teach Morse Code, among various other paramilitary organizations, but it's really more or a hobbyist's thing, still... Just adding that so someone can say something along the lines of "I really wish NASA would send the Boy Scouts up here.")

Odds are, there are already boy scouts up here.  26 of the first 29 American astronauts were Eagle Scouts.

Course, then again, I'm a Eagle Scout, and I don't remember a thing of Mose Code save S(dot dot dot) and O(dash dash dash).

Shameless, pointless bump, because I won't be able to start until at least tomorrow night.

No turn so far - Squeegy, War Minister, Gantolandon, Nilocy, and Serg.  Who is this Asheron you speak of...

Yeah, including on my part.  Been playing the fuck out of some X-COM this week, like everyone else on the board.  Damn that Squeegy for inducing this forum-crippling bout of nostalgia.

I also spent most of the day asleep.  I'll be getting started momentarily, should be done by dawn.

You betcha.  I'm GMT-78:00.

Extreme laziness, then computer trouble, then XCOM, then having to go out of town, then real responsibilities, then RubyQuest.  Then I have to get through tomorrow.  I'm going to promise that I'll get two turns done over Thursday-Sunday.  I could make a liar of myself again, But I really don't have an excuse for this.
