Think i could modify wagons to hold 10x to 100x their usual weight, and so merchant civs would bring 10x to 100x the usual amount of stuff?

think it'd be more beneficial to mod in a new breed of wagons, that are bigger, stronger, faster, and more wagony?

It's a trivial task, if things are set up how you'd think...

Now I want to make a firebreathing wagon civ to shake things up...hmm...

pretty sure someone modded a wagon civ in at some point, I don't really remember the results though I'm sure they were hilarious.

As far as modding the wagon carry capacity AFAIK it does work, in fact you can modify the carry capacity of mules too so they bring even more and races like the elves bring more.

Unfortunately I don't think it makes them bring more of what you actually ordered, rather they just bring lots and lots of extra random crap.

I remember reading about that.  The issue occurred when the guy tried playing fort mode with them.  You could try them as an NPC race and see how it goes.

Yes, increasing wagon capacity is great for making merchants bring more things at once. However they still have limits on how much of any one item they will bring. So if you ask the dwarves for only tower caps at max request level, they may bring 10 more logs then if the cap wasn't increased, but they will also fill up the wagons with all the other garbage they can bring. This is good however if you request various metal trinkets because they bring TONS of them with them, and you can melt them down for a ton of metal. Note that increasing it 10 times will pretty much make your depot look like a warzone if you decide to steal it all.

hmm. WEll, it should happen on td too if I'm right- they're also a "contained tag"- tr needs to be in table, and li needs to be in list, and since td needs to be in tr (needs to be in table), it should get lowered...

[tdAYGILGAMESH] indeed appears to be afflicted.

Once I requested all of the possible leather, and like 20 wagons came and forced me to buy it all. (I had like 2000 leather, total, it was ridunkulous.) Why increase it even more, if they just send more with them?

They "forced" you to buy it? what'd they do? Put a knife to the throat of your favorite dwarf and said they'd cut him good if they left with any leather at all?

Hmm, I just noticed that their are several types of pack animals. Is their an easy list of them all so i mod them all in one swoop?
