Like I said before, I can help with the php. I'd like it to have a database with users and games they play with character names, etc.

I do believe a major change is in order.

We should try to salvage it, or make a new one at angelfire.
I can change the webpage, but not the address....  :-[

(Granted, it was made four years ago)

Deon, put border=0 in the image tags for the links and it will get rid of that blue border around them. What's up with all that stuff after the </html> tag?

 I am sure I got rid of those blue borders. Must be some browser compatibiliy. =) I'll check it now.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Note: there're no [ /url], it's just another forum weirdness.

Which tags are wrong by your meaning? And it's determined in style:
}
a:link {
   text-decoration: none;
   color: #000000;
}

Oh sh8t, I've checked the page and this sh*t must be added by hosting. Anyway narod.ru is very bad and I will host it somewhere else, it was just a quick draft.

I did it without styles, is it working now? Also what about text "Dwarves Against the World"? Is it Monotype Coursiva red bold of size 66 or not?

Sorry for 3 big buttons. Apparently I've played too much Fallout3 8-(

Oh, Fenrir, I know what kind of sh*t is it. Hosters made it to prevent "stupid noobs" from breaking their popup xD.
They couldn't find a better protection than manually add a lot of possible tags which could be "unclosed" to artificially close them. Lol. How stupid.

Also there's a floating advertisement in the upper-right corner which is added directly in the page code.

I used http://www.freehostia.com for dwarfishbard.com. It wasn't spectacular, but there are no advertisements. I just looked at their website, and it seems to have greatly changed since last I was there so I can't be sure of the hosting provided anymore.

If you are going to do any kind of web development, I highly recommend going to  http://www.w3schools.com. There's no better place to learn anything you need to know.

Oh man, I have a lot of books on it. And I know some php and java. I've just never learned web design :) (because I haven't to).

In this case I spent like 15 min (mostly trying to figure out how to make a cool button in photoshop and where to find a pic with dwarves) to show that any amateur like me can make something moderately-awful, so the site won't be a problem if it's needed.

Rather than having them directly force you to mine adamantine, I would suggest that they give you strange moods that require adamantine. "Dig out the adamantine or Urist here goes insane and dies" is suitably vicious.

(It occurs to me that you can probably get "Lovecraft" as the random name of your fortress. That's when you know you're screwed.)
