If someone is uncertain what events unfolded on this accursed infernal place, let me explain. My ammochainin', hellrunnin' badass found a BFG 10k. "Ooohhh!", giggled the grizzled Marine, while pointing his new toy at the green armor he himself had discarded right next to himself. "I wonder what does THIS button do?".

Yes, in a bout of dumbfounded curiosity, I decided to see what the BFG10k's chainfire would look like. I point it at some wall and then... SPLATTER! There was actually a green armor I myself left there the very freakin previous turn. The 33k points (3 times my previous record) fail to console me.

I think I should take this as a clue. A clue, spelling out in 10 meter high neon letters "Stop playing roguelikes for today, dumbass!".


edit : VVV Look at the map. I was aiming at the wall to the right of me. Between my corpse and that... whatever that weapon is (two squares to the right of the corpse), was the nefarious master assassin disguised as a green armour.

Which is why you don't shoot the BFG10k anywhere near a wall.  It has super-shitty accuracy.

 Also: I scoured every wall of the Vaults with both the rocket launcher and the BFG. Only the rightmost vault had a few weak wall on its left side.

 Goddam Vaults.

 I was only able to do this because an arch-vile kept on reviving a mancubi and an arachnotron, who both drop ammo every time they are killed. I had a huge pile to test every wall of that place.

Fact: I myself have never scoured the vaults. I always thought "Meh, too much trouble".

There's probably some good stuff though.

On a related note, the order of the special levels is a bit odd. Like, at the end, there's the mortuary, the hardest level in the game, then there's the lava pits... which just needs some envirosuit packs.

I just think it's weird that the game goes from hardest level, to such an odd level, especially one that is apt to appear right before the cyberdemon. It doesn't even have anything special, just some armor and stuff...
