More than one "the missile hits the lost soul" in the last one. Has to be chaingun, or plasma.

Yea, considering that it took 2 shots for the lost soul to die, I'm going to go with chaingun on that second one; probably modded with agility since everything hit.  The first one has to be a BFG; a rocket launcher doesn't have that kind of blast radius.

Yeah, it was BFG, then plasma gun. Fun times, especially considering I had ammochain. I got swarmed by pain elementals and lost souls. I had 2 levels of whizkid, so the Plasma rifle had two agility mods and a Firestorm mod.

So apparently my superbaddass run with John Romero was enough to unlock ULTRAVIOLENCE MODE.

I died on level 3, to an army of Imps after expending all my health and armor slaying not one, but two Hell Knights.

Jesus Christ.  I think I'll stick to Hurt Me Plenty until I beat the game.

I unlocked Ultra Violence mode in the old version.

The first level threw me for a loop when I saw there was two more shotgun dudes at the entrance.

I think yer on to something with that John Romero thing.  I got John Romero randomly myself and am on lv 3.  I killed all on the floors so far.  I haven't been hit ONCE.
