Indeed, Hellrunner + Shottyman + double shotgun = Death Machine. There are two problems with this though. Ammo and uniques. Unique shotguns don't get a great benefit from shottyman, though they aren't BAD with it.

I get murdered by Arachnotrons every time I try that. I end up losing most of my health to get close enough to them just so they stop shooting.

I f*ing hate The Wall. I always get mobbed

For some reason, I've yet to lose at the Wall. Granted, both times in 9.9, I've went down invincible, it wears off before I kill half of the Hell Knights.

The key is to blow up a narrow passage along the top edge, and stick to the edge, firing onto the hell knights at an angle with the rockets. It keeps the numbers you fight at any given moment lower.

Interesting game.  I skipped all the red stairs because red looks dangerous and got down to lv 15 where I died to an arachnatron.

Questions: What the hell is the anti freak jackal supposed to be? I don't recall that in doom, or the Beretta.  Though I assume the second was a pistol.

Observations: A) arachnotron are a hell of a lot more dangerous in this than they ever were in doom.
B) Small medkits are absolutely worthless when plasma is being shoved down your throat at high velocity.
C) Double shotgun + shottyman is GOD almost unstoppable.
