Huh. Nobody has played this in a while I see.

Ah well, Thread rezzing anyway, since I'm having fun now.

Anyone else touch this game in the past few months?

 I play it occasionally. Shotguns are still sucky to me, I like doing Max Carnage and Marksman runs. Recently did a really good melee run going for beating the game with normal melee weapons, but died when ArchViles decided to be dicks and all attack me at once.

In my last run I managed to suicide by shooting a lava barrel right next to me on level 21, I think, while fighting the last enemy on the level, who was like a former captain or something while I had a Firestorm, agility and power modded plasma gun with ammochain and two levels of triggerhappy. Probably the most stupid death I've every had- i blame it on not having played the game for months before then.

Well, I'm off to a great start this run. I've got both a chaingun and a combat shotgun, red armour, five small med packs, two large med packs, and a thermonuclear bomb.  And I'm on Level 3.

I play this at school when I'm finished with my work.  No luck winning yet.

I've won normally on Easy and Hard so far.  Or at least, killed the Cyberdemon without dying.

Oh my gosh, thank you, Nuclear BFG.  I grabbed the invulnerability, used a homing teleport, took the down stairs, and overcharged that SoB straight down the Cyberdemon's throat! I had alot of spare armor to go around, as you can see.  I actually left behind around 10 red armors, hehe.  I had to hit enter multiple times after shooting my BFG at the EVIL, there were so many secondary explosions from the demons.

I had such a great time with this character! I wish I had more time with him. I think I'm going to try an Ao100 when I unlock it.

My favorite unique would have to be either the plasma shotgun or the blaster.  The blaster is the best for MGK characters, it just lets you shoot! No more conserving ammo for me, hehe.

I definitely need to play this game more often.

 I'm eh about the blaster. Sure ammo is something one wants to conserve, but I hold off my favorite weapon for the Anti-Freak Jackal. When you can fire that thing faster than a normal chaingun anyway things get really amazing really fast.

Well obviously.  But you can find TWO blasters in a single run through, while you can only find a single Anti-freak Jackal.  Okay the Anti-Freak Jackal is amazing and I love it.  You got me there.  It also lets you run the Wall, which is a major boon.

I've only ever seen it once, though.

The Anti-Freak Jackal is one of the best weapons in the game.

It does as much damage as a rocket launcher AND the bullets explode.

With certain skills you can fire it faster than a chaingun.

So I've been playing this, and nearly won of my 7th game. However, I failed to pay attention and died to a cocodemon and two mancubi on floor 23. Which I probably could've flattened.
