You start with a nuke. You're supposed to save it, or perhaps find another one if you use it.

Remember what I said about the Cyberdemon not always being able to see you? Well, I was wrong in the literal sense, but even if he can always see you it doesn't mean he can always path to you - he tends to get stuck on the pillars if he's directly on the opposite side of one to you (he often seems to path directly towards you, even if there isn't a valid route).

That + Malek's Armor + Agility-modded boots + Hellrunner = 0.61/sec move speed and me running about three times as fast as Cybie could. He didn't even get a single shot out.

Even if he did catch on for a moment and try to chase me round the pillar instead of through it, I could just run round it in circles until he got stuck again.

I actually completed an Angel of Berserk run on HMP!

The amount of free stuff I got on this game was ridiculous. I found at least 15 invulnerability spheres, and there were 3 berserk packs in ONE room. There were also 2 advanced double shotguns, an advanced combat shotgun, an advanced pistol, and an advanced rocket launcher in this run. None of which I could use though.

I just pulled a lever, used a phase device, and just ran through them with my modified chainsaw and Badass+Vampyre trait.

With a modded chainsaw, power modded red armor, berserk, and +6 damage he went down pretty quick. I didn't even need a medpack.

Now THIS part was absolutely ridiculous, there were TWO invulnerability spheres and a MEGASPHERE on level 22. I've never even SEEN a megasphere before this. Clearing it was just run to the center of the archviles, invoke Longinus, use medkit, run to the other archviles, repeat.

With a total of 14 armor (3 TaN, 7 from Angelic Armor, 4 from Longinus+armor special bonus), 75% damage reduction (berserk), and dealing (8d8+9) X 2 damage (3 Brute, berserk, and Longinus Spear) the Cyberdemon was a cakewalk. I didn't even need to use any medpacks.

Oh, did I mention that this was my first actual win in this version?

I ran into a spider room, I MIGHT have gotten 100%, but getting reduced from 200% to 56% and having my red armor completely destroyed taking down 4 arachnotrons, I didn't want to push my luck.

Say... instead of infinite ammo, make it so that it uses ammo straight out of your inventory.

Could also make it stochastic. Every time you empty the autofire weapon it gives you a 50% (25%? 75%?) chance to go all Fudd on them and have your weapon magically reloaded from thin air. Even adding a bit of uncertainty like that would be a major nerf over the "I've got Ammochain, time to throw away all my ammunition" status quo.

Alright, Ammochain Angel of Max Carnage, just picked up Minigun, got a Missile Launcher too. Predict my death for one internet.

Edit: Too late. City of Skulls. Pulled the lever and tried to use a combat shotty. Shoulda just used the BFG I had.

I've never actually died in the city of skulls, I've found any rapid-fire weapon is enough to subdue them.

And on that matter, what were you doing with a shotgun on an ammochain build?

Angel of Max Carnage. You always deal max damage. Figured a Combat Shotty kept in the off hand would be a good way to enter levels so if I spawned next to anyone, I could quickly drop them.

On that note, shotguns are very good in Angel of Max Carnage. Might try again with a shottyman build, since a double shotgun blast can wipe out a roomful of almost anything short of Hell Knights.

Everyone deals max damage on every shot, and shotguns deal max damage to every single creature they hit. Makes clearing rooms easy, though for single targets the chaingun or plasma rifle are better.

Not to mention all bullets have a 98% chance to hit in AoMc.

Edit: That reminds me, even though shotguns always have their damage rolls maxed, don't they still get affected by range-damage drop-off?
