Wow... what a night. I just got a double promotion all the way up to Corporal rank. And I also bronzed Shottyman at level 16. I also managed to unlock Ultra-violence as well. That'll be fun. Here's the Mortem:

CACODEMON UPGRADE!!!!! Got 8 bronze medals collected so far; now I just need 1 silver, and I get promoted to Sergeant. And I did something worthy of more facepalms than you can ever imagine. :facepalm:

WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF USING THE F***ING BFG?!?!?!?!!?!?!

The place was swarming with cacodemons, and I was at 200 health and had red armor (not equipped), and decided (like a complete jackass) to chaingun and DB-Shotty them instead. :headdesk:

To be frank, you would've only had what, two, three shots max out of that BFG without any extra ammo? That map doesn't look anywhere near as bad as it could be - at that level, they could've quite easily have been arachnotrons. Then you'd want to break out the BFG.

Even one blast from the BFG could've taken care of them, and I could've gone even further in AoI.

I get too greedy/stingy sometimes; and this is in a mode where certain pickups are used immediately as you grab them.

Died on that one. Tried to tank a vault room full of cacodemons. Would've been easily avoided had I been more cautious. Also, I had found the GCB on level 3... bah.
