Dwarven Litters [Newb question]
« on: December 15, 2008, 10:21:29 am »

So i want to increase the amount of children my dwarves have and increase the frequency of there litters how would I do this?

I already removed the multi litters rare tag thing.

What else can i do?

Is there a hump like rabbits tag or some thing?

You could check out cats... See if you could make them comparable.

I think you are able to change the amount they have in a litter.

I don't know if you run into multiple baby problems from same mother.

I don't have DF on this comp. So I can't look at tags... Maybe you could reduce pregnant time?

[liTTERSIZE:X:Y] determines how many children they will give birth to.

[BABY:X] determines how long a baby will stay a baby.

[CHILD:X] determines how long a child will stay a child.

You don't need that tag, since [MULTIPLELITTER_RARE] seems to negate it or something.

Just because a tag isn't there, doesn't mean it isn't usable.

I'd be careful with that litter amount... why are you wanting one so high?

Easy! Operation human dwarven shield!
No, seriously, your FPS would start crawling after the first few litters. But if you have a really awesome computer, you could try this and zerg rush the goblins.

Then, increase the max population. :D An Army (it's worth the capital A) of peasants should be able to defeat every enemy. The only problem would be that you'll probably not have enough work for them all. => They'll have alot of free time. => Everyone will be a friend of everyone. => Tantrum spiral to the max.

Change litter size to something extreme, like you suggested.

then change it so that dwarves skip the baby and child phase, and pop out of their moms already as adults.

Then change dwarven ethics so that they'll butcher dead dwarf bodies and use dwarf bones and skin in making things.

You know what to do from here.

Just to make it a good habit, all code entries should be CAPITALIZED. So screw the typo in the cat file, it's supposed to be [liTTERSIZE:X:Y].

That would be a cool idea, but if I remembeer correctly someone found that the most children any animal can ever have at one time was 10, so anything higher would probably just create 10 children.
