Just to let you know, I might be somewhat less active these days, a new job coming up and stuff. I'll still try to do my turn every day or two.

(mainiac: Whining, as you well know, seems to do wonders with persuading other houses to give you their support)

To everyone who might have forgotten - it's been 22 years ago after all - the nefarious Li Halan had unilaterally claimed Criticorum, a strategically vital world for all three houses in this sector. The Noble House al-Malik insisted on it remaining neutral, to which Li Halan responded with brute force, opening fire to unarmed transport passing through Criticoran space - a blatant and unprovoked act of war.
Having thus damaged our fleet and destroying our precious cargo, Chi Kao begun to seek peace, refusing any meaningfull reparation for their agression. It was only natural for us to take actions aimed at at least dealing equal damage to their forces in return. Which we did, and having thus satisfied our blood debt, we agreed to a ceasfire and promptly removed our forces from Li Halan territory.

Obviously, their continuous occupation of Criticorum, recent breakage of cease fire, and warmongering does nothing to make us want to settle this dispute peacefuly.
As for negotiations, Chi Kao, do not try to pretend that peace is what you seek. We have offered you the western continent of Malignatus, and you refused, having no reason at all to do so, as both continents are equally valuable. Obviously, what you look for is but a pretense to continue this war. Which is fine by me, though it makes me loathe you to see that you're unable to state this openly.

Whining?  Is that really how you see what I do?

I'm going to be laughing if Aqizzar becomes emperor and wins the game.

Well, he is probably the leader, ATM, despite what the score says.  I for one don't intend to just roll over however.  I'm not overextending myself in the fight against Palazzo, just stripping Malignatius away from him with a minimum of exertion.

Uh oh. There's this saying in my country that goes roughly: do not try to sell bear's skin before you hunt it down. Or something like that. You get the point.

As for the possible winner, there's a nice and relatively easy way for Pnx to win, if he only does some stuff right with his ministry and manages to get elected for a regent.

What fun it is watching you two contort yourselves over a conflict you both started.

Don't forget, I'm the Regent, and appropriately enough, my vote counts more in every election now.

Anyway, I'll do the turn soon.  I tried to do it last night, but I'd been awake for about 40 hours and the screen kept wiggling around, so I put it off til I got some sleep.

(...)conflict you both started.
Now, this is a sentence that I shall never allow to be included in the history books that al-Malik print.

Aq: no need to hurry, for some reason my mailing client is dead, so I won't be able to recieve the save anyway. At least until I'll find out what's going on(might be a virus, I suppose)

Funny, there's a saying in my country:
"Once you've got 'em by the short hairs, gloat."

And in Regent Aqizzar's country, we say, "If you've got it, flaunt it."
