I now have total surface control of Delphi, except for the ruins.  I had to, as I was quickly running out of food, and the Rebels already had a few farms for me to grab.

I have recently found myself in a situational isolationist role.  I must decline the magnanimous exchange from Lady Chi Kao.  I have no need of information on the biological sciences, and to hold such knowledge would only be more work for my archivists.

Likewise, I see no need to exchange information about the surface of Byzantium, oh Lord Palazzo.  Surely the Power Legionaries you've stationed over my senatorial villa can tell you all you need to know.

And Boksi, I thought your previous message was a reference to Space Empires 4.  I now realize I was probably wrong.

My Homeworld, oh! Rebels abound, dangerous animals run free, lawyers plot a conspiracy, it's truly madness. However, we shall clean all that mess and make our planet look like a second Leagueheim. All Our cities shall be evenly spaced with exactly the same population levels and the same production! And it's gonna happen real soon, yes!
Right now, though, we are really weak and disorganized and totally unable to mount any sort of agression. Like invasion(right Boksi? - wink-wink). For real![/leak false intelligence]

Aqizzar: My dear friend, don't be alarmed! Our bored troopers of the 2nd Female Powered Armor Legion on Byzantium II decided to go sightseeing, that's all. These girls are such a lively bunch, we simply couldn't stop them.
And We thought that you'd agree to exchange Byzantium maps as a sign of benevolence and friendship between our houses. After all, we've got nothing to hide there, right?

No, it was a SEIV reference. I was bored so I sent a few SEIV messages to my fellow players.

I think I've stumbled across a bug in the resource tracking.  It seems that when I buy resources to make up the difference needed to make a unit, I'm only billed for the cost of what I need but the whole resource need of the unit is added to my stockpiles.  So if I buy 15 metal to build an engineer, I get my fifteen metal and 100 food and 85 metal thrown in extra.  Anyone else noticing this?  Alternatively, I might be teleporting resources from my other planet, but I'm pretty darn sure I don't have them on KISH (the planet I was buying on)

While I replayed the turn (only 2 v. one sided battles in it) to avoid the bug this round, I think I might have unknowingly used this bug to give myself resources in the past round or two, probably a couple thousand firebirds worth.  Should I compensate for this by driving some resources into the desert and disbanding them over the next few turns?

I don't get it. So you do have the required food and it's not being deducted from your stockpiles?
Perhaps it's just the lag with stockpile list updating(bug 41) that makes you think you're short on resources?

It does sound like bug 41, but I experimented with this bug and found that by repeatedly buying and selling I could quickly rack up thousands of firebirds.  I'm pretty sure I didn't have that much spare food and metal on either planet.  Naturally I saved before doing this experiment so no worries there.

As of yet, I didn't manage to reproduce this bug myself. Anyway, if you feel like disbanding some stuff or giving away firebirds(e.g.to Church) to appease the spirit of fair play, then go ahead. There's no way to check if you did, so it's entirely up to you.
(easy way to avoid problems with this bug - buy stuff manually at agora prior to building units)

It seems we're doing only 50% of target with regard to the number of turns per day. I blame the Santa Claus.

Not to troll, but shouldn't this be in "Forum Games/Roleplaying"? I haven't read the whole thing, but it looks like a game to me...

You might be right, you might be wrong. Technically it's a thread for boasting/threatening/throwing insults/discussion for a bunch of people who are playing a game off-forum.
But really, I've just seen a thread for Alpha Centauri here, so like a true lemming, I posted it in the same place.

Ho hum, invasion doesn't start until next turn.
What? Who's invading? Are you invading? Whom are you invading? Why are you invading? Surely you're not invading? You musn't invade! I'd like to invade too. Can we all invade? Let's invade together! Invasions are fun!(Almost as much fun as  losing. And losing an invasion is just the dog's bollocks)
