Does that mean it is in the fluff on the Fading Suns? That the Empire of Man (or whatever they call themselves) are building huge pony expresses?

If I was working for EA and trying to make the game pass the German censor, I would try to modify the plot more to condemn warfare and seriously protray the crimes as bad. However, the German censors did ban "I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream", which had an evil German scientist who was sorry for his crimes...

They didn't ban "I Have No Mouth" actually (awesome game and story, even if Ellison is a jackass), just made the developers cut out the segment where you play the concentration camp doctor.  Thus making the game a fifth shorter and slightly less sensible in the ending.

Well, that what I meant by ban, stop the original version. Oops.

I thought the LP of "I Have No Mouth" stated that it was impossible to beat the game if you play the German version since you don't get to play the concentration camp doctor.

I'll just interrupt your conversation to say that my turn is done.

Also, I'll probably move this thread to the forum games section some time soon.

Turn done.

The I have been thrown in this half way through and no universal warehouse puts and interesting spin to this.

Yes, having to move resources between worlds or establish native industries turns it into an entirely different game.  I remember being genuinely stumped for the first couple turns, and it keeps biting me in the ass still.

Anyway, nice to be moving along again.

There are tales of victory, there are tales of failure, but never of cowardice.

my turn is done.

mainiac: remember to post(or pm if it's confident) my PTS fire. I know I had a few hits this turn, and I'd love to know how efficient all those defenses really are.

Sorry, a couple PTS shot at me (the ones close to the places I bombed) but the only ones that hit me were rebels on another world.

On the new turn I lost a transport.  Very vexing.  Whatever, my transport fleet is big enough to cover the losses.

Plus a couple more potshots, but PTS missiles don't do seem to scratch cruisers.

For the good of the Empire, we of the house Decados have decided to interfeere in the Al-Malik, Li-Halan conflict. So the empirial fleet is taking control of Istakhr space.  This we feel will help both parties to come to an agreement that will be for the better of the Empire.

My turn is done.
And so, the invasion of Istakhar has ended. The populace cheers the Imperial Fleet which cleared the skies of Li Halan scum.

I've found this weird bug. I had a stack of a couple PTS and a militia, sentried, together with a fast unit, which I moved to a next city. A while later I'm checking this very city, and lo and behold, my PTS and militia magically teleported there(8 hexes farther).

Once before the guns of Decados were turned upon us heeding to the mad urgings of the fool Il Palazzo.  But before the might of Li Hilan and the treason of al-Malik, Decados saw the foolishness of this endeavor.

We embraced as brothers those who had turned against us.  We shared wealth and knowledge with the lowliest of the noble houses, uplifting you from your darkest days.  And in exchange, we reap a harvest of tears and betrayal.

The land of Li Halan is filled with lamentations today.  But not in an unseemly display for those who stand before the Pancreator as honored martyrs.  We weep for the living, to know that such evil can infest the hearts of mankind.  May the Pancreator always safeguard the most pious house of Li Halan from such an insidious poison.

It was the wise words of Li-Halan that urged us to action. The memories of the past conflicts you have brought up and the understanding of the cost of a war on our doorstep that you avakened, is what prompted us to dispatch the Emperial fleet. For we feel it is the only way this conflict can be resolved without weakening the Empire.

For, the fool you speak of, is a leading noble of one of five great houses, that are the foundations of the Empire. The chaos that would ensue, if house Al-Malik would fall, would weaken the Empire, could shatter the Empire.

For the good of the Empire this had to be done.

High Lord M of house Decados.
