I didn't write this myself, but it probably WOULD have been lost in the tides of forgotten history if I hadn't memorized it, so I deserve a little credit but not as much as you are giving me.

Oh, and I will kill you. Anyhow, I've been trying to figure out the proper way to replace many/most of the lyrics to The Dubliners version of Whiskey In The Jar for some time now... Hm.

Never post a secret recording of me trying to "write" a song again.

Oh, and if anyone wants to open up "Pull the Lever" in your recording program of choice and add some drunken singing, clapping of hands, banging of mugs, or other dwarfy things, feel free. Might as well turn it into a proper Dwarf Fortress anthem while we're at it, eh?

Fun Fact: When I first typed "Pull the Lever" I mispelled it as "Pull the Liver" which is surprisingly accurate, too, given the craziness of adventure mode wrestling.

Don't use winamp, use VLC media player. It's tiny and plays everything. No adds or anything.

Why don't you just export it to mp3, PTTG? I would myself, but it's too much work.

EDIT: Actually, cancel that. DF can play it. Just rename it to song_title.ogg and stick it in your \data\sound\ folder.

EDIT 2: After making a back up of \data\sound\song_title.ogg, of course.

If you want a resource efficient audio player, I suggest using foobar2000, it is sooooo much better than wmp and winamp etc.

way back, before i heard of DF, i loved and played roguelikes. One of my favourites was ADOM, which had an amazing comunity, and that comunity spawned a number of filks.... type "ADOM filks" in google ... so something like that should be done to DF... i will try to put something up these days.
