date the up:

Part 29: In this episode, i discover adamantine, and bad stuff happens.

Dwarf Fortress Video Tutorial part 29 - Adamantine & BAD END: Youtube HD

Next episode will probably be machinery, but might be dealing with the demons.

Oh, and another question for you guys:

Which stockpile are adamantine strands stored in? Couldn't find it in the DFwiki.

Also, will de spirits of fire die if i flood the peculiar chamber with water? Allthough maybe if i do that i could tlet them fight the cave river creatures. That oughtta help a bit. Hell i could release all my goblins in front of the demons to i bet.

I bought Noby Noby Boy too..   it is quite a strange game. No gamey direction like timers or objectives..   yet you still end up playing it for longer than you intend.  :)

My favorite worlds are the ones with the pyramids that you can demolish (or eat!)..  heh

This is the first time I've ever watched any of your videos and I could tell you're Dutch just by listening to your English  ;)

Nice job defending your fort, did way better than I did at the time.

The first, and only, time I've ever fought with demons (1 week ago), I had reclaimed a fortess, and had 50 steel-clad dwarves, 20 marksdwarves, 15 hammer/axe dwarves, and 15 wrestlers. So, I opened the pit (killing a few miners), and I sent my entire army to the opening. twas the most fun I've had in a long time.

Todays double update is brought to you by Microcline Mechanisms. The best mechanisms made only by our finest dwarven mechanics.

Part 30 : This episode is about machinery, on safety and on how to build them.

Dwarf Fortress Video Tutorial part 30 - Machinery 1, Safety & Building: Youtube HD

Part 31: In this episode i show off more of my machinery as examples of how to build them and what you can do with them.

Dwarf Fortress Video Tutorial part 31 - Machinery 2, examples: Youtube HD

Man that was a lot of work, but machinery is finally done. Next up: Either taking care of demons or creatively taking care of captured enemies.

People should figure that out themselves :). "Hey if a water wheel creates 100 power and a pump only uses 10 power then couldnt i use the pump to power the waterwheel?"

Excellent work as always Cap'n

I've been using keepvid.com to save all your tutorials and drop them onto my miniSD in my cellphone.

Makes a nice on the go tutoria! And a nice break from the boredom of lecture. Probably going to use them to get my brother into it since he has terrible internet service back home and can't check out the youtube videos himself.

Maybe I'll get the wife to try it out..  who knows?

Wonderful tutorials, thanks for your time and efforts.
Without them I would never have learned to play DF, which is one of the best games I have played in recent years.

Keep up the good work!

Been busy in DF, and i have a couple of nice creative examples of what to do with captured enemies. The next video will probably be about that.

Also, i talked about the 20th century boys manga earlier in the thread, and the live action movie is now out. I have just seen it and it's absolutely brilliant, the conversion from manga to movie went very well, everything is very true to the manga and the story is ofcourse great. If you want to see a good movie watch it.
