Your 40d videos were a huge help to me getting into this game when I began months ago. Great to see you back and making new videos for DF2010.

On the videos, well in short i've run into a bit of financial trouble in real life. These vids are the last thing on my mind right now, sorry. But don't worry the series isn't over yet. It might take a little while for the next video though.

That sucks, cap'n. Hope it works out for the best as quickly as possible...

I finally made a torrent. You can nab it here - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FI0ENEHP

or if you have a demonoid account, here - http://www.demonoid.com/files/details/2236129/?rel=1273333367

As I mentioned before, it is a full resolution DVD - 720x480. So the top and bottom might get clipped a bit unless you are playing it on an overscan tv, an HD tv, or on a computer. It is a really basic DVD, but it works well enough :)

I would never been able to enjoy such a great game without the help of your Vid's Capt Duck.

Thank you soo much.

I was thinking more along the lines of this legendary champion, all clad in dented and dinged up steel plate, his blood-drenched axe slung over his back, a notch in the handle for every enemy that saw the swing of that blade as the last sight they ever saw, a battered shield strapped over his arm... and a fluffy, pink stuffed hippo hidden discretely in his breastplate.

Hello !

First thing is: thank you ! Your videos really got me started with this game.

I've now finished watching all your first set of video tutorials, and since you are making new ones, I may have a couple of suggestions. (Also, I didn't read the whole 19 pages, so if this already came up, sorry !)

I already have a couple of fortresses built and running without any problems. All the basics you have covered I think I am handling really well, and your first set of videos are great for that.

Unfortunately, I started losing you at around the video 16 mark.

1-You quickly showed how you prepared some sort of little pool for channeling water and stuff, I just have no idea what goes through your mind at that moment. It would be really great if you could make a video where you just look at what surrounds you, and the decision you make for defense and whatnot. Basically what goes through your mind.

Otherwise, great great work !

These videos are the best way to start DF. But listening author's "errr..." all the time is HORRIBLE

Stay classy. Sometimes there are some things you should keep to yourself.

Even if in this case, I never even heard him doing what you're talking about.

Well what i mostly try to do nowadays is build a fort aboveground nowadays, with 4 exits, north/south/west/east. When that is done i try to draw circles around that with channels, and put traps in the few places the enemies can pass. Maybe ill elaborate  in a future vid.

yeah i do uhm and err a lot but your just going to have to live with that, this is still something i just do in my spare time.

Speaking about spare time, i'll try to make a video this weekend.
