Chain-based zoos?
« on: December 11, 2008, 12:31:23 pm »

If I chain up some animals and define rooms from the chains, does that make it a zoo?

Also, do dwarves admire chained animals as they do caged animals, or must they be caged for dwarves to enjoy their presence?

Since the fox or wolf or bear or dragon or goblin spearmaster could still attack your dwarves, I don't think any civilians would enjoy a chain zoo unless the animals are tame.

I fully endorse the idea of mountain goats that hunt man.

Of course I'd tame them. :P

The question is more whether or not it would even count as a zoo, and whether or not dwarves would get thoughts from them similar to the "comforted by a caged animal" thought they get from caged creatures.
