Do Demonspawn still get a bonus when using demonic weapons? Because I just found a +5 +5 demon blade of freezing.

@DeKaFu: I'd swap now if you've got a few weapon enchant 2s. If you've got resist corrosion/mutation on anything you could take on slime. It's a lot easier now that there's no permanent corrosion and can be taken more slowly.
Bottom of vaults is a good idea, but I'd find a better sword before doing that as you just won't deal the damage needed.

I'm playing 14.1, so permanent corrosion is definitely still a thing.

That's an awesome find! As far as I know they still do (I wouldn't be surprised if it was taken out just because someone thought 'it's tedious' or something, but I believe it is) and that'll be really useful as you can keep enchanting it. Make sure you look around for another one though as quite a few things do resist cold.

I just found a staff of conjuration with my DEFE, was wondering whether I should swap my +4/+6 flail of protection for it. When I equip it I dont see a boost to Power in my spells menu - does it just not show there?

I think the Demonspawn bonus was taken out along with all the other racial weapons, but demon blades are still pretty good and freezing isn't a bad brand.

If you would wield a weapon as a demonspawn because of their racial bonus, you should wield it even without.
The bonus added roughly a single level of fighting skill worth of damage.

Well, I tried Vaults 5 and died. :/
The stairs got sealed while I was entirely surrounded and taking a lot of damage, so I panicked and started teleporting around. Ran out of ways to heal or teleport, used up my evokables, shadow-formed and fled for the stairs only to be cut down one tile away from them.

Still my best run to date. Muh.

Playing yet another MiBe, I found a +0 +5 ring of slaying on D:2

is there anything troggier than this ring?
(I guess it would be troggier if it was a -5 +5 ring of slaying I guess)

i guess this makes up for all those runs that i found a cursed ring of teleportation on d1.
i already have enhanced eyesight from a potion of beneficial mutation.
