Oh. Did the update come out?
If you mean they finally put a 0.13 release compile on the main site: no, they're working on putting it into shape for a named release, but 0.13 is still trunk (meaning you compile it yourself or play online).
If you mean they cherry-picked some bug fixes to the 0.12.2 release; yes.

Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

I'm going through my first post-end game now, with a ogre of TSO

I had several near-death situations, just for being in the line of sight of tormentors for a couple turns (often in open areas).

In the tomb, I often ended up with less than 50 hp the instant I go down stairs. In pan I usually try to dig two diagonal lines, so I can at least fight one on one, but how else are you even supposed to deal with them?

*Sigh*

At least I can one/two shot some Pan lords.

Also does anyone know if TSO gets upset just for wielding a poison weapon or using it on Demons\Animals\Evil creatures? Because a poison giant club is my only known source of renewable blinks.

TSO shouldn't have an issue with wielding the weapons, just using them on others upsets him. If I recall correctly, he doesn't mind if you use poison on demons, because, hey, they're demons. Possibly you could also use poison on mindless creatures/animals, but you may want to double check that, I can't guarantee I'm right about that.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

when your attack speed with it gets to an acceptable level (average or better i'd say)

but venom isn't a very awesome brand for an executioner's axe

I know, that's why I blew a scroll of brand weapon on it(and came up with a vorpal weapon, but at least it's better than venom!)

Though, I have a different problem now. I just got cast into the abyss by a distortion weapon wielded by a unique enemy....after getting severly drained in the process of trying to murderize them. Tips on survival until I find an exit?

Edit: Ummm, nevermind, just got completely assraped by a lich that showed up. Damn, distortion can be nasty....

teleportation is your best friend in the Abyss, unfortunately there are several monsters in the Abyss that can and will rape your scrolls with sticky flame so it really comes down to luck and whether or not you can find an exit before you run out of escape tools

even with conservation it's still only a matter of time

I'll try to be less conservative with my angels, I need to get into the least amount of bad situations as possible since I lack Ctele and only have 1 blink scroll.

Hah, I'm carrying the only fog scroll in the entire game and I haven't even used one yet, and I had preservation for most of the game, It's the fucking sticky flames, it burns at least 1 scroll on the first turn for me every time, after I drop any important scrolls, even with conservation.

For ref, right now I'm at 13 points of axes

And for my next trick, a quick and dirt explanation of attack delay :

That percent base delay when you examine the weapon is your attack speed. If it's 100%, you can think of it as delay of 10 time units. The min delay for any weapon is the base delay, divided in half and rounded down, but no more than 7.

So for an executioner axe [base delay 200%], the min delay is 7. Each 2 points in weapon skill reduce the delay by one time unit [10%]. So to hit min delay with an exec axe you need to negate 200-70= 130% delay, or you need 26 axes skill.

I believe the scientifict measure is "a metric fuckton", but it doesn't help at all in extended, since gargoyles are at -2 HP apt, putting them on the level of Deep Elves.

Doesn't matter, I restarted a GrGl with maces, and guess what I found on D:8.
