And the abyssal rune is generally really easy to get when you're a decent level (providing you aren't a Troll or something).  It's just boring waiting for first a rune and then an exit.

Guys, I think Armok just interdimensionally punished me for becoming a Dwarf of Fedhas, by forcing me to fight one of my own ghosts.
I guess being an elfdwarf isn't such a good thing after all.

Good to know that you don't have to give the rune.

Considering how much chances there will be nothing of real value for my character at the level he will be when he'll come back for the trove (assuming of course he survive in Abyss, what i doubt considering he's a troll berzerker), it would have been an incredible waste to lose a rune for that.

Is anybody getting an official Bay 12 team together for the 0.8 tournament? Starts in 3 days.

Somebody should start up a thread for it. I prefer it not to be me because I'm lazy, but I'm definitely interested in playing. My goal: to finally get my first rune (I'm always SO close).

I'll fire up a thread, see if there's any interest.
Edit: IT IS DONE. MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON OUR SOULS.

I have gone ahead and added HBeing to clan "Losingisfun".

Has anyone else found that door and fountain mimics move? I thought the point of mimics was that they didn't but the non-item mimics always do in my game, and they're very fast. Is this a bug?

First time i saw that in a recent version i thought it was a bug as i never saw any mimic moving before, but from this report there is a reply of a developer stating it's now intended that feature mimics (doors, portals etc..) can move once fight occurs while items mimics (weapon, scrolls, etc...) stay immobile.

Thanks for that, hopefully the knowledge will help a bit next time, although it's unlikely, since you have to close to melee range to find out it's a mimic anyway...

Have book spawns been adjusted (in the dev builds) or am I just unlucky? Level 12 mummy (of Ash), cleared about 15 levels of the dungeon and 6 levels of the lair and I have found 0 books.

Going to be a pain doing Orc for the guaranteed shops with only Shock and Lightning Bolt. Lacking books wouldn't be so bad if Meph Cloud hadn't been removed from the Book of Air (but I guess it was a balance problem or something, Meph Cloud is pretty OP no matter where you put it).

Hey, do evil gods get pissed of if you switch to another evil god?

Yes, only Zin/TSO/ThatOtherGoodGod will forgive switching to one of the other three.

I don't think the good gods actively punish you unless you convert to an evil god either (so you can convert to a chaotic god such as Okawaru without punishment, although maybe killing an angel or daeva will still cause wrath?).

Alright. The wiki said Yredremnul (that is spelled way wrong) has pretty crappy punishments, so I'll swap to Sef Muna.

Apparently you can switch to Trog too with punishment, as for some bizarre reason Trog is not considered as an evil one.

This game is tricky. If I'm a vampire, shouldn't I not die?  =P
