It seems every time I roll out a Necro, I get a goddamn Mummy named monster. He's never a big deal to get away from, but he still casts spells at me, and if anything holds me down, I'm as good as gone.

Dispel Undead utterly demolishes everything from nasty player ghosts to ancient liches. Greater mummies remain something of a hassle, so don't go to Tomb unless you're planning on dying.

nah, just spam summons. And don't cast firestorm in the middle of a group of greater mummies......

What happens if you cast firestorm in the middle of a group of greater mummies?

Lots of mummy curses at once. If you're undead and/or worshiping Kiku, then nothing happens. If not, then you might die. One of my characters lost a lot of HP due to severe rotting.

Yes, I downloaded this one, and the version shown in game is the correct one. It's weird.

Disable Zot Defence for 0.8.0 :(
There's a number of unresolved bugs, including blocker ones like monsters
freezing and just standing there.  The balance is also totally off, making
a win without abusing one of the bugs basically impossible.

It is possible we'll re-enable it for 0.8.1, but with 0.9 planned for end
of July, I'm not promising anything.

I hope it will get fixed, it's been a very fun and refreshing gamemode each time i tried, though insanely hard with some character combo (like Sprint anyways that is not very playable with most combo)

I'm currently playing a character using the
crawl_tiles-0.8.0-a1-177-gb68bbd6.zip
always available in
http://crawl.develz.org/trunk/archive.html

It has the Zot Defense gametype if you want to play with it.

I found my first ever katana in Vault:8!
Now I could emulate Dr. Feelgood by switching to TSO to get it blessed, and wtfpwn the extended endgame (note I already cleared the Crypt). Or I could stick with Vehumet, and settle for a heavily enchanted vorpal katana as second fiddle to my arsenal of spells.

My MfCr found a +6/+7 *rage +rage vorpal katana (or something like that) in a shop on D:4. It would have cost about five thousand gold, and I managed to blow myself up with my own spores while assaulting Orc for the gold. Oh, well.

I once managed to get quite a good score in Zot defence.

I barricaded myself in a room and had Oklob plants and saplings in an X shape.

I'm currently getting ready to compile the latest git (for native linux support), but I would like Wizmode support. What do I have to do to have that turned on during compile time?
