I've been playing ogres almost exclusively recently. I want to get my first rune with an ogre. Preferably an ogre wanderer.

I also want to win my first game with an ogre. Also preferably an ogre wanderer.

Some day~~~~~~~~

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Where did that elephant come from? :o

I fell througth a shaft from lvl 5 to level 8, and decided to explore. I cleared most of the level until.. I teleported from a trap into a room filled with fun items, including some strange stone (google says it summons elementals) and lantern of shadows (I'm a summoner with a god of destruction (Vehe-whateverHisNameIs) so YAY \o/). I opened the door and there was a pool of water with an anaconda in it. I summoned HUGE piles of dogs (highest hunger free, I got 48 mp and several magic potions so..) and killed the anaconda, but suddenly one of those elephants is right next to me and kills me in 2 turns! (Before I notice it)

.....don't tell me the elephant statues came alive or something?  :o Did that happen or did the elephant just slip through my horde of dogs unnoticed?

Oh boy I should've listened to all those warnings about lair level 8.

From what I've seen, there's a pack of dire elephants inside the loot room behind the anaconda room (it does always seem to be an anaconda), which may be the one you teleported into, and another pack spawns at the entrance when you enter said room (?). There should also be packs of ordinary elephants in rooms at the top and bottom of that area.

I keep managing to get to D:7 or 8 with a MiBr and then getting killed by random hordes after I beserked 10 goblins. I found the temple on level 3 once with a dwarf necromancer but haven't found it ever since.

If you need to berserk to kill goblins, something's wrong.

Ah, well an Ogre is a different matter. Even still, herding them down the stairs probably would of been a better move.

pikel drowns.
you feel clever!

xD

by the way: summoning is way overpowered i think. i've just slaughtered a metric crapton of gnolls and orcs including priests and sorcerers with a couple of lvl1 spell uses. For 1 mp and 0 hunger thats kinda hard  :o
and there i was, putting all the effort into trying to magic-dart things for the last 30 characters.

Playing my first serious attempt in 0.7 (lvl 9 HuWz). Is it just me, or is there a LOT more loot now? Dungeon 9, and I've found 3 rings of dexterity (two +5), 3 rings of sustain abilities, a ring of resist poison, a ring of wizardry and a ring of protection. Plus 5 wands, a metric shitton of scrolls, a bone lantern and more food than I know what to do with.
