I decided to go with Miles, a troll gentleman worshiping Trog. Trog is very pleased, and so am I. I've got tons of food, and I can eat it rotten too.

Wow, I didn't know draconians could use dragon hide armor.

Release candidate #3 is out. 0.7 is probably going to be released soon. They fixed the acid walls in the Slime Pits.

Somehow I survived. Got a rune at last.

Since apparently my sword is immune to the slimes, I'll be heading into the slime pit now.

Artifacts can't be corroded, if it is one?

Actually, by the time you get to Slime, won't most of your equipment be artifact/ really highly boosted anyway?

To hell with Jivya, next I'm going draconian chaos knight of lugonu. Gonna level the same skills as this guy had, except I'll have crazy reality bending powers.

...Wow.
I just landed on D6 with my Minotaur Paladin, and came face to face with...Dowan and Duvessa, Sigmund and Menkaure. At once.

I fired one of my wands of enslavement at Duvessa, who turned around and killed Dowan and went Berserk. She followed me a bit as I tried to flee, and then ran off after Sigmund and Menkaure while I ran and hid in a doorway. She managed to damage both of them before they killed her, and then they each took turns standing in my doorway which let me finish them off one at a time.

Dang.

I had never considered how awesome it'd be to enslave Dowan or Duvessa.

@Dakk: Dude, you don't need to carry everything around with you. Leave your books and unneeded scrolls and whatnot in a stash. Being burdened in a roguelike is a big no-no.

Also, acid does extra damage for each exposed armor slot. Since you had ALL of them exposed except for the head (I realize that you couldn't of worn boots or gloves), you must of been taking a LOT of acid damage. Combined with the fact you have no source of resist corrosion, all I can say is what the heck were you thinking dude? Even if you did get down to Slime:6, did you realize that the Jiyva altar is literally sitting on the square the Royal Jelly is on? You didn't even have a source of digging so you couldn't of taken the Slime:6 loot even if you did make it, defeating the point of an early dive. You crazy, man, crazy. Promise me you won't kill your characters trying to dive for religions that aren't even that good in the first place?

@DeKaFu: That actually sounds like a bug to me. A hilarious bug, but a bug.

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

So I decided to scumsave my way through a whole game so I had a better chance of a real run being informed.

And Oh. My. God. Fuck the Shoals. Fuck them in their Greco-inspired posteriors.

I think I've died....probably 20 times easily on Shoals 5. Snapping turtles are just evil. Ranged attack, great defense, massive damage at times. I've been cheating, so I'm a tricked out 16 DS DK of Mahkleb...and I'm struggling against hordes of bad ass mermen, snapping turtles and random horrors coming out of the waters out of no where. Christ, you can't even LOOK at the water without three geomancers and a few impalers popping up.

I almost can't conceive of the luck needed to get through some of these parts.

It is odd, since the first 4 levels of Shoals are so goddamn lame.

If you REALLY want to do Shoals, Fedhas might be the answer. Two castings of Sunlight airdrowns anything that has to stay submerged, though it may take a few turns. Not sure how it is affected by the tides though.

Ustxu Iceraped the Frigid Crystal of Slaughter was a glacier titan. It was the only one of its kind. A gigantic feathered carp composed of crystal glass. It has five mouths full of treacherous teeth, enormous clear wings, and ferocious blue eyes. Beware its icy breath! Ustxu was associated with oceans, glaciers, boats, and murder.
