Hmm... I'll consider it.  Last game I had all sorts of crazy stuff lying around (including a giant club of holy wrath and AC!).

On the other hand, claws are awesome.

My first ever attempt at playing online using the Net Tiles .
Oh boy, as i was using auto explore without a minimap being displayed (not supported by net tiles) i was lost half of the time (unlike normal tile version, you don't see the scrolling during autoexplore, it is like the troll teleport all the way) when i had to find the stairs i discovered previously.
And the interface, ah the interface, as net tile is just the tiles over the console version you do not have the mouse clickable equipment or click/shift-click dungeons items.
I had to look during half of the game at a list of keyboard shortcut, can't praise enough the mouse driven interface now :D

But in the end, that 1st online run was not that bad, though i was using a Troll Berserker that has an easier time than every other classes, and ended dead on the 10th floor of the dungeon after an epic battle with several orcs, a pack of yaks, Blork the Orc and Erica.

Remembering hubris is the bane of the Troll Berserker, i decided to call for a Brother in Arms, an angry Orgre berserker appeared and helped me make a real carnage.

I even annhilated Blork in 2 hits.
In the end every monsters were dead, only Erica , my Ogre ally and my Troll were standing.
The Ogre rushed to Erica that used whatever kind of spell she had and *pfff* the Ogre disappeared in smoke.
I was always slow from a previous Berserking so i couldn't use that ability again, i decided to move toward Erica, hoping the various potions (and my teleport scrolls in case Erica proved too much) were enough.
As soon as i was in contact with her, she launched a spell.
Troll confused couldn't do anything worthwhile, couldn't read spell or run away, damn.
Erica blasted my character with her spells and that promising Troll was history :(

Not hubris, but as the inventory is not displayed everytime in net tiles version (you have to press I to look at it), i completely forgot i had several wands collected in previous floors.
I'm sure Erica would have not been such a big deal if my memory was not that bad lol.

But at least i'm happy, i crushed Sigmund , and even those annoying Dovan and Duvessa in the same time (usually without a Troll Berserker i always have to try to separate them to deal with those uniques).

You can turn the not scrolling off in the options. It's what I did.

I have made a few tests and can now rule out that death yaks are deadlier than most unique monsters.

It is true that the "offline" version interface is so much more advanced and usefull that it is hard to get back to the frankly prehistorical one of the console version for online play.
I hope one day the devs will figure out a way to use the current tile version of Crawl and its amazing interface for online play.

Man, an orc with a beak... weird.

Does the beak actually provide an attack boost, or does it just look strange?

Also, the deterioration mutation is starting to annoy me :/.

Got another run in net tiles with a demigod fighter and again my legendary bad luck strikes back.
In floor 2 i got poisoned by a snake, as i was in a low health, i don't think my character could have supported the poisonning for long enough, being only level 2 at this time so i had to try drinking potions.
I had several potions, i drank them all.

Of course because Crawl likes to show how evil its programming truly is, as what i needed was a single simple healing potion, none of those potions were an healing one.
And because apparently that evil coding likes being utterly evil, the last potion my character drank was ... a poison potion :D

What.  The.  Hell.

I go into a bailey... and find a stack of 8 potions.  I drink one - "You feel clever".

Yes, I just found a stack of 8(!) potions of gain intelligence.  Is there any reason not to just drink them all now?

Of course, I'm a TrBe, so they're not hugely useful.  At least I won't need to put anymore points into int to avoid statdeath...

Can someone explain statdeath to me?

Also, tournament is going to be fun...even if I fail miserably.
Also, I have no idea how you would get the Royal Jelly award. I wouldn't want to destroy the orb, except as a last resort before I am about to die.

Statdeath is when any of your stats reaches 0. At this point, you die. Therefore, statdeath.

I think the int statdeath is "forgot to breath".

Str is "crushed by the air" (or something like that) and dex is "tripped on banana".

I heard they were gonna remove statdeath, though.
