You know, maybe they should give the slime pit acid FLOORS, too. And every turn, there is a random chance that you sink into the acid goop and instantly die. And every time the Royal Jelly dies, a random jelly on the level should be promoted to Royal Jelly. To win, you have to kill every single one of them at the same time.

Why not just make the floors royal jellies? Every tile is a royal jelly and you become overloaded by their slime and cant go back up the stairs.
Your thinking to hard. Just make it so that the royal jelly splits into royal jelly. And there are multiple blade traps on the level. And its smart enough to use them. And a trigger so that every 1000 turns after reaching the royal jelly, he comes up a floor and starts filling it.

Holy... minitombs are amazing.  That's about twice as many potions as I'd usually find in the lair.

About a dozen mummies... so just drop all your potions and kill them.  I liked the way that, after killing all these mummies and getting everything in my inventory cursed, I found 2 scrolls of remove curse IN the minitomb.  Kinda invalidates the death curse if you have a handy way of removing it...

I think the 'one scroll removes every curse' thing is a bit odd.

Maybe, unless you are unlucky and find none of those remove curse scroll.
I remember an old game in which i was forced to wear a ring with only negative effect for more than 6 floors, as nowhere i could find a damn remove curse scroll.

I found that the best way to deal with mummies is the summons, this way they are the one getting cursed, not your equipment when they kill the mummies.

Yeah, summons are the ideal way to kill mummies.  But not everyone has them :P.

Either the 0.8 development build is buggy as hell or you heavily altered that morgue file.  :P There are 15 runes in total and you can't get the Storm spells at "perfect". I'm not going to bother with the rest of that crazy text file.

http://crawl.develz.org/wordpress/first-release-candidate-for-0-7-0

certainly mean the 0.7.0 actual release is very soon.

what are the main change the devs want in 0.8 ?

Yeah, FOUR THOUSAND hitpoints? TWO MILLION gold? Perfect firestorm with a 17 in Fire? Wizard mode eh?

It is barely possible to get firestorm to perfect, but you need two rings of wizardry, Robe of Archmage, Staff of wizardry, 27 in spellcasting, conjuration, and fire, and massive intelligence, I think maxed out. I got it that high in wizard mode once, but it wasn't easy even then.

I see that you "Began as a Lord of the Abyss Demonologist", and found like a hundred shops on D:1, so I'm going to have to conclude that you may have used trickery. :P

Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup version 0.8.0-a0-227-g289c504 character file.
Its a test version I suspect. I imagine they were testing things and set stuff like shop spawn rate and other things massively high to test balance or some such.

More holy monsters, combat moves for melee, nerf spell casting, make demigods fun, and Ashenzari (divinations god).

Thanks for those links Dr.Feelgood.

about 0.8 some interesting change and addition.
and it's great to see Demigods planned for an overhaul, it really needed it to stop being so dull to play.
