Okay, I'm currently on Zig:17. Vehumet is a much better god for mana recovery, than Kiku. Extension is slowly starting to fizzle out. I lost teleport control, poison resistance, icy armor and flight.  :( Luckily, there are tons of spell books in this place, so I can probably restore them.

Current status and loot

A base human stuck inside a cloud of miasma?  I somehow find that difficult to believe.

Now, of course, if there were some way of getting him out of there...  Like, say, Dig?  If you just approach the shrine from behind, it might not trigger quite so quickly.  Then you can tunnel in and get him out of there before it's too late!

He'll probably attack you once he's freed.  :P

Yes, but, well...  He, ah, he's just gone mad from grief!  Yes, that's it!  The pain and torture has driven him to insanity under Kikubaaqudgha's imprisonment, he knows not what he does!

Why, killing the poor fellow would be a merciful act!  Yes, that's the ticket...

Of course, you could also worship Elyvilon and just heal his madness.  Just to make things simple, y'know.

I made it to Zig:23, but I couldn't continue... Those mummy floors are brutal.

119/119 (144) HP <-- That is after I drank every healing potion in the dungeon. I can beat a ziggurat, but I'd need a wand of healing or stronger summons.

In other news, Jiyva is rivaling Xom as the biggest douche ever.

I thought you could get rid of him by killing the Royal Jelly?

Yep, unless you are following him he goes away once you kill Royal Jelly

Huh, and I was wondering why was the stuff in my Lair stash disappearing. I think he once even ate my Book of Annihilations.

Surely killing the Royal Jelly would be worth an excommunication?  If so, Jiyva effectively commits suicide by kicking you :P.

That's the best part. He can't punish you if you decide to desert him after you kill the jelly.

All I could see in this sentence is "dessert" and "jelly"

EDIT: Just found a silly bug. I was hitting a plant with a staff of chaos (guess which unique dropped it?) when it turned invisible. And turned off autopickup. I'm not so sure that's appropriate. I mean, there was a fruit on the same square as the plant, but still. Wouldn't it of been better to just temporarily exclude the fruit?

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

But the invisible plant could've followed you and backstabbed you when you reached down to pick up something.

Really?  That's just... ugh.

Why??

Players came up with clever ways to protect their stashes from jellies. The devs didn't like it, so Jiyva will slowly delete your stash (and items you haven't found yet) from the game.

The devs also don't like it when players come up with creative ways to defeat the Royal Jelly, so now all of the walls in the Slime Pits are covered in acid. It does constant damage that corrodes your gear for every turn you stand next to a wall. Unfortunately for them, I already came up two ways to kill the Royal Jelly with ease and two simple solutions to deal with those acid walls.  ;D
