Yeah, the temple's still there, check the dungeon overview to see the level range to search for  it.

Been playing as a troll monk. Picked up a few potions of mutation and got, as luck would have it, angry, horns, and stiff muscles (as well as blurry vision, unfortunately). I went a few levels down in swamp, but as I have pitiful armor and can't wear anything better due to being a troll I was stymied by hydras. Haven't really had any other problems with other monsters though, between dodge, shields, and large amounts of health and regen very little bothers me. Currently hacking my way through Orc, which is fairly easy.

Gotta say, I like trolls. Foods not really a problem, since they can eat anything that isn't poisonous or otherwise toxic and their metabolism isn't that fast. Just avoid any areas that don't have edible monsters until you have a decent stockpile of food. It's nice not to have to watch out for better weapons, as a troll monk I sacrifice pretty much everything I come across since I can't use most of it. It's very freeing.

Edit: I am having a small problem with auto-pickup being turned off. Apparently it does this every time I 'discover' that something invisible is attacking me, but I can't seem to make it turn back on. Is there a keystroke, or do I have to kill something invisible to reenable it?

Control O? It says what to hit to turn autopickup back on when the game turns it off.

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

Ctrl-O is dungeon overview. Ctrl-A is autopickup. It's also turned back on when you kill the invisible thing.

After 100+ trys with dungeon sprint, best class till now, sprigan stalker, followed by Merfolk Crusader.
After killing the medusa you can invest your exp pool and reach: Haste with (good+) Ice Brand, RMsl, Regen y Maklheb.
The sprigans are pretty easy as the first 3 moobs can be backstabed easily and dont know wy but they are allways 1 hit kills.
Stealth has a new usefullness here since the games brokes when you start to wake people in "the next room" before you want to.

Summoner Ghosts are SCARY.

There were at least 10 imps, and lots of spammals too. Very scary when play a summoner too. My spammals + a couple imps were slaughtered while I used a telescroll.

Also, want of Polymorph Other + zombies = WIN.

When I see summoner ghosts, and can't get the drop on them, (How the fuck do you backstab a ghost!?) I just leg it. Playing spriggan assassins has taught me the immeasurable tactical value of running away.

Had the same problem with an artifacer ghost who had died with a really powerful wand. Ghosts in general are hard to deal with, kind of irritating really.

I'm working my way through Elf very slowly. The archers are tough, but hiding behind walls can force them to get within 3 spaces or so. Ran into Nikola, took him out with a Legendary Deck of Destruction. Was expensive, but very worth it - he dropped a cloak of shadows. I still need a way to see invisible, currently I have to use walls to draw invisible elves close enough and then guess at where they are, but it's a start. May be able to get me through that gauntlet of attack statues I ran into a few levels up.

Edit: Found some storm dragon scale armor that actually fits! A troll with armor, can you believe it?! What're the odds. Working my way through elf 7, not that bad. Now I need to start thinking about getting runes of zot. Any suggestions for a troll? Preferably wings that have a lot of edible monsters, food might be a problem.

Snake pits if you have R poison, Shohals if you have... well im not shure about shohals, they trow some ice and mos of the time you may whant to be flying. Then there is swamp, where the only issue are hydras, and of course, the place where the rune rests that can be pure ice (hydra simulacra ice dmg per head) pure fire, vanilla or pure undead.
start this ony after clearing orcs, hive, lair, and dungeon till lvl 16, vaults 7, and maybe elfs.

What is the spell "projected noise" supposed to be used for? If an enemy hasn't seen me, I should backstab it instead of messing with its head, and if it has seen me, it's probably not going to drop everything to investigate a noise.

Also, I would very much like to know what happened here.

Ouch! That really hurt!
You die...

The cause of death was listed as "splashed by acid". Did I just get attacked by DUNGEON WALLS!?

On the last beta version of DC SS (i belive is called trunk) they implemented acid walls in the slime pitsthey burn each turn for a fixed amount every turn your next to 1 for every acid wall next to you.
This is couse the people used to dig a pasage on the walls and lure the royal yelli there and kill it without bothering about the splash summons.

I WAS IN DUNGEON:4

I HAD 21 MAX HIT POINTS

AND THE LAYOUT OF THE AREA AROUND THE STAIRS LOOKED LIKE

I didn't notice the first "splashed with acid" message, moved and was killed by the second splash of acid.

I DO NOT CONSIDER THIS SCENARIO FAIR IN THE SLIGHTEST

Ya, but lets say you find a hydra, and all you have is a slashing weapon and it hasn't noticed you. Could trick it out of your path. There is a reason its a level one spell ya know.
