There's supposed to be only "good" items spawned in that bailey and on average 6 items. Looks like you got screwed on quantity and quality.

Ah. Well live and let live then, I guess. If I don't have to worry about missing secret compartments, I'll just go explore the rest of The Dungeon!

Have the newcomers discovered playing online yet? They should try it.

I'm currently kicking ass, cleared Orc:3  (yay, at least 4 randarts) but don't feel like trying Orc:4.
Currently just trucking through the dungeon with my ludicrously slashy SeTm.
"Oh, orc warrior pack? Lololol! stab slash slice!"

Tiles sucks, but I think that is is most of the way through development.  I mean they have a half assed character interpreter for the online game.

Alright, I can't dis features like that.

But anyway, I just cleared a massive pile of killer bees and a queen bee.  they had 23 honeycombs back there.  I feel so good right now.  Ice form is the shit, yay for intrinsic poison resistance.

Aww... I died. Stupid uniques. Makes me really glad I made that scum save though. The adventure continues in a somewhat altered timeline!

Take that, stupid horde of obnoxious critters guarding the stairs.

EDIT: Apperently, if you get drained back down a level, then advance back up the level, it changes the level up text.

Having an ennui problem with my necromancer. I'm starting in on the Vaults, and not clear on my strategy. If I cast agony/pain at things, I just feel like an ineffective second-rate conjurer. My fighting skill is decent, but I'm definitely a third-rate melee combatant. On the near horizon is Haunt, but then I will probably feel like an inept summoner. I always have a problem with hybrid strategies... they are flexible, but I seem to prefer exploiting sheer power in one narrow area, like conjurations or fighting. What is my path to awesomeness?

I did find the Sceptre of Torment, which seems pretty cool for a Kiku worshipper with Torment resistance. Anyone know if it costs piety when you resist an occurrance of Torment?

I'm going to say no, it doesn't decrease Piety. I have a feeling that a lot of branches will be easy with that scepter.

I'd say go for haunt, and use that new toy for all its worth. Your followers are immune to torment, and your pretty close to it, taking only 40% of the normal damage. Then, just animate all the corpses and plow on.

Haunt is ridiculous. Summoners get Necromancy levels just to cast Haunt.

Sadly, the Sceptre is only good, not ridiculous. It'll carry you through Vaults, D, and Slime (although Haunt will do most of your Slime work, the royal jelly is much easier if you torment a few times first), but it's of no use in Crypt, Tomb, Hells, Abyss, or Pandemonium. It'll be nice in Zot vs orbs of fire and killer klowns, I suppose, but I'd rather just Haunt.

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

Don't forget Elf, Shoals, and the other organic branches.

Sceptre's not much use in Elf. The only really dangerous elves either summon demons who are immune to torment or cast ranged conjurations, making closing for melee just to hit for torment a bit stupid.

Also not much use in Shoals, but that's more because Shoals is already doable without help. It won't hurt or anything and will let you murder any krakens that spawn, but it won't really help when fighting an aquamancer.
