For me far is just further than previously.

Ha! I think we all think that. It goes in stages. First rather far is getting to a the temple.. then a branch.. then the end of a branch.. Then getting a rune.. That's my next goal

Started playing it yesterday after I was told that Powder was it's small brother.

Wondering: is it just me or vampires are the easiest class to play, by far?

Am I the only one who thinks Ogres shouldn't be allowed until D:4 at the earliest? I can stand Sigmund at D:3, but an Ogre? Fuck that. Look at Sprint, Sprint puts Sigmund before the Ogre.

I just can't play heavily armoured fighters for some reason. I think it's because I have no concept of when to use consumables. I'm a hoarder, I admit it.

I wouldn't say by-far, as there are other good roles too. No hunger on vampires and their versitile stats is awesome, but there are some jobs that work better with other races.

Heh, for me kinda far means having 2-3 runes and starting on hell.

I've been one-shotted by Ogres as MDFi. Sigmund usually takes more like 4 or 5 hits to kill, unless he gets really lucky or you're still lvl:3.

I guess it also depends on your character. I'd rather fight an Ogre as a FE since Sticky Flame turns an Ogre into a joke, but may only turn Sigmund into a regular threat. I'd rather fight Sigmund as an EV fighter since an Ogre hitting could kill me at any time, while Sigmund hitting is at most one third of my health and most of his shit will be missing.

That is because you are talking about a fighter type which in general has more health then a wizardly type. With a wizard one hitting can come from either of them but an ogre is easier to kill because either you can spammal them or kill from a distance without any return fire.

Ogres can comfortably one-shot anybody level 4 and lower, and I've taken over half my health in one shot by an ogre when I was a MDFi at level six. SIX!

Six shops, five of them have been wand shops. I don't need more wands, really.

Also, silly treasure trove, why would 12 potions of agility open a portal? There's probably not even 12 potions of agility in the entire dungeon.

prob is vamps are not as fun as I expected. I want to play a human necromancer and lichify him, like I did in Powder

That is a possibility though becoming a lich is from a spell and will where off so you have to recast it every once in a while.
