Placing one so you have to walk through its FOV to get to the ecumenical temple certainly feels like a textbook Dick Move.
The staircase and the oklob are both ringed by regular plants, so it's not a threat unless I want to get a religion for some reason. I haven't dared to try to get past it yet, the things seemed pretty powerful when I was creating them with my Fedhas powers a few games ago.
