Just installed the new version, and (suprisingly, kind of) it shows me the savegames I've made on 0.18 in the main menu. Is it normal or I'm going to have problems now loading my old saves, both on the previous version and the new one?

(the game has been installed in another directory)

Ok, I am going to whine about my poor mummy again ::)   

Cleared Depths and V5, and despite using all (like 2?) my acquirement scrolls on wands, I still haven't identified wands of hasting or heal wounds. I now have a veritable arsenal of recharging scrolls (like 17 of those mothers), and no wands to spend them on. Considering the Zot translocation nerf, this is like, damn.

I will head over to Elf, then if neither of those wands turns up, I don't know, maybe I will consider Slime??? Does Malign Gateway absolutely wreck TRJ like it does everything else? I love Malign Gateway, but I don't think I ever took a caster to the TRJ fight without a level 9 conjuration. I have no real AOE spells... Maybe after a scroll of summoning, my SpellF Servitor and I can just iron shot the shit out of it at point blank range in the corridor??? Sounds dangerous, especially with no damn buffs  - oh potions, how I miss ye.

I am pretty confident in my ability with SF Servitor, OOD, and MalignG to take down Zot (any one of those is basically enough), but I would appreciate some Haste for the Orb run, oh yes I would.

/I was also kinda hoping I would be able to wear an FDA for Zot, but looks like I won't make it - maybe I will find an awesome +Int + Str ring in Elf eh?

If you have scrolls of immolation and decent rF (at least rF++, preferably rF+++), try using them against TRJ. Constant explosions really help to keep the spawning down while you kill it with damage dealing spells/weapons.

I decided not to muck around with Slime, and finally, on the 234th attempt, I have a mummy victory. Previous best MuWz didn't even manage a rune I don't think. Just got Fo and Na left to complete the currently playable species set.

As an added bonus, I think I finally hauled myself out of the ranks of Awful players with this win. Yay.

Science is always important. But it needs more flaming cats. Can't we build bridge-based catapults and fling flaming cats at the dust and goo?

It's time for the ATHATH Death Counter to increase once more in celebration for the end of the world.

What is it that they're good at later? Just avoiding all the negative effects of endgame (torment, pain, etc)?
Pretty much that. Things that could hurt you can be counted with one hand: angels, tzitzimitls, iron giants, enraged juggernauts and pandemonium lords. Wretched stars if you frequent Abyss.

Being mummy also gives you infinite time, so I mostly went with Gozag and had some fun. Lured Ereshkigal all the way to Tomb:3 just for laugh, for example. MuFi was also the first character I fully cleared Zig with without some sort of cheating. Spirit ego was a must, though.

Regular translocation miscast effect. I think it does a max of 43 damage.

How do you set go-to waypoints again?

The tab at the bottom of the side of your inventory is navigation. There is a button in that menu for it.

Getting back to Crawl and learning the hard way to not do anything dumb. Lair:1 instantly had 2 electric eels. Had to go peek again and try ineffective strategies to kill them. Well the lightning bounces are as dangerous as ever. That was such a fun run as a Octopode Necromancer. And I even had ring of wizardry and staff of power tooooooooo, whyyyyy.

Also, ran into a ghost that was placing down orbs that blew up and killed everything around it and finally itself. I got out with 3 HP. What is that spell?

...Okay, so I have a weird issue: How can I rebind controls on the online version? For reasons that are best left unexplained, my m key does not function. Is there any way I can rebind the skills page to a different button?
