Innate Abilities, Weirdness & Mutations

This guy was much weaker than the Demonspawn, only did 1 zig and nearly died in the last floor - it was a jelly floor, and it turns out if you don't have rCorr, acid blobs are satan. I had nothing particularly interesting, except for the amulet of vitality, which I couldn't wear because I needed rNeg and rMut, and the finger necklace+umbra combo which helped me against torment.
Take this as the middleground on Chei Statueformers - this was definitely not the least powerful the combo can be, but it's also not the most powerful - I suspect a Powered by death/AC/Claws DS will be the ultimate chei statueformer. Trolls might work too, but bleh. Also bear in mind the very moment you get Statueform castable at like sub-10% failure, you can immediately get the two lair runes, and the following :Tomb if you have 3 pips of rNeg; Slime if you have rCorr; Vaults:5 if you have regen/a few potions of mana and teleport immediately upon entering so you end up in one of the squares and can limit the amount of enemies on the screen. It is strong as hell for 5-rune wins.
I wasted a ton of experience on Conjurations+Ice, only ended up Glaciating a few Hellions. I used DDoor like, three times, since I got way too careless with my tab-storming; never used revivification. I did use CBlink to jump next to Pan lords for higher punch/time efficiency, never evoked shit, left my fighting and dodging at 15 until nearly the very end (I had Conj/Ice at 25 before I remembered to turn the melee skills back on).
Didn't really use any speedrunning techniques, just trundled around everywhere using autoexplore (but not exploring entire levels). I got tired at the end, so I started teleporting - the scrolls were 41.
I found out what made my first DS so powerful - regen + statueform is absurd. I presume this version of trunk has some sort of bug with Statueform damage reduction, because I was much, much tougher than my stats would indicate.
Really glad this is over - Statueform of Chei is incredibly boring, since it limits you in items. Also not being threatened by anything (except deep water hurr hurr) is not really interesting. In fact, I'm pretty sure I'm now a worse player than I was before all these Chei Statues, since brainlessly tabbing entire zig floors is very rarely a successful strategy in crawl.
All in all, Statueform needs a nerf, Chei is extremely powerful, ZzzZZzzZzZZ. I can go back to playing characters that use items, and can move around, and might actually die if I make a mistake.
