It's kind of preferable, since your only defense as an Ogre is killing stuff faster than it kills you, and with a vanilla GSC it's really hard, especially when Ettins and the like appear.

Partly because I was incredibly tired from all the Pan, partly because Torment can go fuck itself. Really bummed out, I could've escaped twenty times over, but I had been in similar situations quite often and never had a problem, so I stood and fought when I really should've bailed out. It was a fight against a fiend and a Hell sentinel, I got tormented several times in a row. Had 1 hp left at a point, no wand of healing, no potion of heal wounds, drunk a normal heal potion and then the Hell sentinel hellfired me.
Also I'm never, ever doing melee extended with anything other than a holy Exec axe, good god.
