Man, I can't tell you how many hundreds of episodes of DC I've watched. Have you gotten to Ai Haibara yet? Things take a wild turn for the better once she starts making appearances.

Kaito Kid is my favorite character, and it saddens me that he only makes an appearance once in a blue moon.

Electric Asian Batman on Crack. I just watched Darker than Black recently too. Pretty damn entertaining, I'll give it that. I'll be honest though, I'm not 100% sure what the deal was with that last episode.

It was more of a "lets-go-out-with-a-smile" episode that takes place near the beginning of the show (between episode 8-9 I think?). Just something light to end the season after the massive deaths and sadness of episode 25.




Poor Huang, he was just starting to grow a heart.

There was just enough ambiguity about character death from my shaky recollection of the first 2 episodes that I was like "Wait what. Flashback? Happy Ending? Alternate Univ-whatisgoingonelephantlovefanfiction"

I felt even worse about Mao, who is definitely my favorite DTB character, and one of my fave characters overall.

For me the basic rundown of episode 25 was; "Every character you like or started to like? Yeaaah, their gonna die. Only except Hei though, we need him for later."
Still, the ending was pretty cool.

I just finished watching that, too. It didn't really affect me much -- I think the problem was that I watched it expecting something depressing. I figure I'll show it to a friend and not tell him what it's about — I did that with Bokurano and he hated me for days.

Anyone have other suggestions for depressing/twisted/'dark' anime?
