Hooooooly shit Envy is actually a guy.

I so could not have called that.

I was confused when seeing him in the manga too, but gradually worked it out.  I believe he's supposed to be androgynous though, and he can certainly change from male to female at will.

I've started on Brotherhood, and it seems to be basically the same story as the manga but with a couple of episodes at the start (the whole Ice Alchemist thing, basically).  As far as I can tell that was to try and reveal the plot arcs faster, as the manga moves along pretty slowly in terms of plot.

And wait, doesn't Bible Black get a mention in LCS?

I think it is a bit too new relative to the age of LCS.

So there's a really young girl and her dog being all cute and having a good time with the heroes for half the episode and their father is sympathetic and then the next day they come back and he's melded her into the dog to create a chimera so he can continue to be sponsored by the state.

And then they both get murdered and when her father dies in front of her she's still human enough to cry before death.

Now, I've seen a lot of worse thing but for some reason this repulsed me utterly.

I don't recall the girl saying anything like that, and I just watched that episode an hour ago. It was mostly just a bunch of repeated "Friend Edward"s or something like that. Then again, it could be a sub/dub difference. I can't even recall which I watched for that episode.

The father doesn't die, at least not that I've seen. The paddywagon gets turned on its side, freeing the girl. The tattooed man kills her.

Also, I guess I'm a cynic. I loved it when the bastard imposter doused his brother with the red water.

Also, Winry is a conniving bitch. I can't stand her.
The more I watch, the more I'm convinced that every female in the series is the same way, besides the few in the military.
