If there is something I find fascinating that isn't really in other pieces of fiction in the west for the most part (MAYBE Steven Universe... MAYBE but it isn't official yet)

Is while RARE... There are a lot of these immortal or long lived creatures who sort of have a fondness for humans... But who dress it up with distaste because of how frail humans ultimately are.

I am reminded of one of the Dragon Quest games where you play an Angel. They aren't quite immortal but they are very long lived and don't really catch illnesses or diseases.

Their lot in life is they perform good deeds and protect humans but can never really be seen or noticed. When humans pray or thank them it creates a substance known as benevolescence which the Angels need to get to the true heaven. As well whenever a guardian in a town is switched from one angel to another ALL the human's minds are altered (and evidence changed) to be the new Angel instead of the old one.

Yet if you ask the Angel's opinion on humanity it seems rather poor... On the surface. The bulk of their complaints isn't even how humans act or how little humans pray lately... But rather it is how short lived and how illness prone they are. Suggesting that Angels create this sort of distance between them and their charges as a way to guard themselves against the harsh reality that what they do will often feel fruitless.

Yeah some are more "against" humans than others. Yet it is more lashing out than anything else.

In a lot of anime I seriously wonder how other religions would factor in when Shinto and/or Daoism is basically outright powerful.

But given Anime's track record maybe I should hope for it to keep it to itself.

So we've got Shingeki and Berserk season 2 coming up, plus the most annoyingly named show ever, Sin: Nanatsu no Taizai which has nothing at all to do with the Nanatsu no Taizai season 2 everyone who saw it thought was getting a surprise announcement...

As for Berserk, it's back in monthly chapters again apparently, and was kind of a feels generator.

Scrum around detective themed stuff? I'm entirely sure there's a handful floating around somewhere with an impromptu gadget focus, it's just not a genre I'm particularly interested in so I can recall actually encountering one, heh. Might have more luck with manga or light novels than anime, though.

Saw some people recommend it who were generally pretty trustworthy folks, same group who suggested Gangster, Yuri on Ice, and way back in the day the manga version of Nanatsu no Taizai, plus Feng Shen Ji more recently.
