It's actually kinda decentish but with some warning signs during the first half, but the second half just immediately takes a nosedive off a cliff and everything turns into nonsense with terrible resolution. Imagine if Kirito died at the end of the first arc of SAO and then came back to life even stronger in the next episode for no good reason, followed by the show turning into Mahouka. It's kind of like that.

There was supposed to be something big happening for the tenth anniversary of Haruhi this year...a lot of fans were hoping for season 3. It looks like nothing came of it though.

While researching that however, I just now found out about the Nagato spinoff, so now I have to binge that >_<

You mean the best show for people who love Gary Sues, right? Yes, those exist, I greatly enjoyed it. Something about about pure overwhelming power always gets me.

Andres, if you like Gary Sues, some hype moments and a calm and collected MC, then do try it. I'm just disappointed it's just another LN advertisement anime.

Furtuka would be correct regarding his spoiler comment. It's decent and actually had a rather strong start, but the second season was less than satisfactory in terms of the direction they took. It's not the worst thing in existence though, just a bit disappointing.

TBH the best way to enjoy Higurashi (IMO, natch) is to just repeat the MST3K mantra whenever things start to not make sense. That and cheer in every cycle where Satoko's uncle gets killed or arrested.

I think it explains everything very well in the original VN, although the anime is confusing in places. The last couple of arcs are definitely the best part of the series.

That's fair. I only watched the anime and everything seemed pretty clear to me apart from a few bits, but I can understand how there are people that don't follow what's going on -- people complain about not being able to understand much simpler plots, after all.

So I've been watching the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Its... I feel like I never know what to expect from an episode of it. Which is rather interesting. Just finished THAT part of it.

I was a late adopter too... didn't catch Haruhi until my most recent Anime binge. Really interesting directing decisions on that particular arc, too. I was surprised they reiterated that much. And yeah, they do a good job with making unpredictable content. I enjoyed the premise enough to track down the Manga once I ran out of Anime. It's a little different, but pretty good!

P.S. Nagato is Best Being.

I'll try and remember there's a manga. To be honest, I didn't make it all the way through the Eight. I just skipped through the sixth and seventh to see which mask Nagato chose.


Yeah, Nagato is great. Her and Kyon are both great for deadpan snarkiness.
