The Cold War was a golden age for kooks of all stripes, you could at least get basic funding and someone to hear you out for just about any dumb idea as long as you appended "GOOD FOR KILLING COMMIES" or "DEFEATS THE DECADENT IMPERIALIST PIGDOGS" to it.

In fact, if that math were exact, you could cover more than 100 square meters with the blood of one person. The little splashes that came out of people when taking major injuries in Drifters so far? Definitely not unrealistic in amount.

IDK, I've read about some of the schemes the USA came up with during the cold war to use up all those h-bombs they were churning out. Frying people with a big magnifying glass is nothing.

I had this book a while ago, but someone stole it. It includes a lot of quotes and reports of different cold war schemes. One of the plans tossed around was the idea of exploding 1000's of H-bombs on one side of Mt Everest. The idea was that this would act like a lever, and tilt the Earth's rotation such that Moscow would end up on the North Pole.

Putting Moscow on the North Pole would be a terrible crime against humanity with an enormous impact on human life... But when you're doing it by exploding thousands of H-bombs, it still somehow feels like a petty prank in comparison to the resources expended.

Not sure if anyone besides me is still reading UQ Holder, but it's been announced that when it starts back up in November it's title is officially being changed to UQ Holder!: Magister Negi Magi! 2. Which is pretty interesting considering where it left off.

"To Be Hero" is a new show that caught my eye, and it's awesome intense fun in the vein of Space Patrol Luluco.

EDIT: And Keijo!! Jesus that's a good first impression for a show with an otherwise utterly stupid premise.

I finally grasped what Keijo reminds me of, it's like Ippo or some other boxing anime, but with girls slamming their asses into each other instead of their fists. In the opening, when that girl's ass cheeks glowed with raw destructive power as she winds up to attack, I knew this was gonna be a great show. There's only the one episode so far, but this might be the best sports parody ever.
