Yeah he has plot immortality. Actually, reading the School Days wiki (haven't played any of the games), he's not an actual protagonist, he's basically the Gary Oak of the Overflow universe.

He's every protagonist's dad, and is the ancestor of most of the girls. So he did ur mom, he did all the moms. Tomaru Sawagoe was always there first. For earlier games this was retconned to be true, and even jumps to other game's universes. One of the 12 sisters from Sister Princess (previous games by same team) cameos in an Overflow game, claiming that Tomaru is her dad and mentioning that she has 11 sisters.

You wouldn't believe. Here's part of his family tree. Note that the girl at the top is actually his half-sister. Just note how often the name Tomaru Sawagoe turns up in the highlighted part, and you can even see some tomaru Sawagoe's in the greyed out parts:

he had a baby with his sister. then when the baby grew up, he made his daughter his girlfriend, then forced her to become a prostitute. She fathered a baby with him, and he went on to have a baby with his grand-daughter (who was too young and died in childbirth, causing his daughter/girlfriend to run away) Repeat for a few more generations. One redditor noted that the last generation should contain about 97% Tomaru Sawagoe genes.

He is the direct ancestor of most other Radish/Days game characters (he directly fathered 42 children with dozens of women), to the point that other characters (e.g. the ones in School Days) accidentally commit incest due to not realizing they were actually fathered by his many affairs.

the anime-esque features in the Overflow continuity aren't actually stylized: they're defects shared among the whole local area from inbreeding, and that's the reason nobody from outside wants to procreate with any of them. And those same defects have lead to most of the male population being unable to "perform", leaving the few with working "bits" to have huge harems to themselves.

I'm almost tempted to check out such games because of the insane plot. Almost. Never gonna happen though. Too many actually good VNs I haven't played yet.

Unlike a LOOOOOOT of anime, Comics, games, and fans...

They recognize that there is a difference between being powerful and being able to do powerful things so to speak.

I actually like that they basically go that battlewise the King of All isn't really all that strong (at least that is what they say)... He can just destroy (and likely create) anything he wants on a whim.

The only other anime that kind of hinted at similar was Fairy Tail where one of the most powerful wizards in the setting... Has very little in terms of combat ability. So even though his spells are more powerful, they don't translate into butt kicking ability.

I think HxH does that pretty well. A lot of members of the Phantom Troupe have insanely useful abilities that aren't related to combat.
