I need something new to watch.

Give me some parameters and I'll try and recommend a couple. Serious? Comedy? Short? Long?

I think theres a checklist for this situation:

Have you watched Jojo?  Yes[ ] No[ ]

If yes, new episode every week.  Problem solved.
If no, watch Jojo.  Problem solved.

Ok here we go.
1) A detective series (I love Case Closed / Detective Conan... but there are HUNDREDS of episodes... I know I've binge watched Prince of Tennis AND The Nanny... but come on!)
2) I'd love to watch something hilariously terrible with messed up themes all over the place and a barely functional plot. Just a train wreck... Though hopefully without the Eichi.
-Yes I know the above would be unknown to you Reelya xD given I am the only one who watches garbage.

Ok you know what... I'll try to express my feelings.

I want something a bit off with kind of a gimmick... but that gimmick needs to be interesting.

for example I once watched a detective anime about a kid who has such crippling social anxiety that he can only talk via a ventriloquist dummy AND via his great method acting skill channel the ghosts of the dead through it to gain insight into his case. BOOM! perfect!

Hopefully nothing too short.

And no gorn and go soft on the porny aspects, I am still scarred for life watching Marchen Awakens Romance.

I am petty I don't want to watch it because Hado gets nuked I believe third (or fourth... one of those) season... and it feels like setting deconstruction.

I loved the artstyle of Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls. Unfortunately, the show itself is mostly complete shit. Then again, if you're going to watch a mindless boobie anime then it might as well be one with standout art direction.
... it took me less than a minute after the intro to regret looking into that. Less than three to just stop.

I can't think of the right word to describe that use of splatter effect. Something close to farcical, whatever it is. I'm even pretty fond of pointless fanservice at times, but that was just too much. I couldn't keep going.

E: Though I think that's at least the third anime I've seen that exact redhead in. DxD, that little sister conquering thing, and now this.

Agreed, Hyakka had a great artstyle, though I've only seen uh... clips of it on sankaku... hrm.

Oh another great aesthetic, Knights of Sidonia (AND THAT GODDAMN BLAME!! TEASER, ARGH) with the translation of Nihei to the screen.

Oh! Uh... shit, what the hell was the name of it... Rolling Girls!

Why did the explosion turn into a flower? Was that a giant safety pin? Why does the show end up actually being a cute little slice of life series instead of heartsplosion kungfu battles nonstop? Who knows? It did have really pretty watercolor looking backdrops, which reminds me of another pretty show with a lot more going on, Grimgar!

Hamon*

How in the world does that make you think of deconstruction? I'm pretty confused and don't see the connection there. Hamon was removed because after the shenanigans pulled in Part 2 it really didn't have anywhere further left to go without crossing the line of being the bad kind of nonsensical, it was kindof generic in concept, and was restrictive in what kind of fights/conflicts could happen involving it.

While that is true, it gets replaced by Stands in part 3 and the Stands' powers become MUCH more creative in part 4.  So if you've already seen parts 1 and 2 and think Stands are kinda dry, watch enough of part 3 to get the key plot points(it's first season is mostly a string of fights) then get into part 4.

edit: @Furtuka I'm not exactly sure what setting deconstruction means, but I understand his point.  Hamon was at the core of the plot in part 1 and part 2.  I also feel that getting rid of Hamon makes sense, since... well, nobody teaches it anymore.  I hear there is something kinda similar in the later parts called Spin, but that's as far as I know and I don't feel like spoiling myself even if I'll be well into my 20s when the anime gets there(and I can't find any decent scans with decent translations)

They didn't have to bring it back and use it... just sort of give a wink and a nod that it still exists.

Especially since thematically Hamon no longer existing kind of says a LOT about mankind :P

That is because Hamon actually has a set use. While Stands go by the rule of whatever the writer feels like.

I think you might be out of detective series Neonivek, especially long ones. There's one other one by the Kindaichi writer called Detective School Q, at 45 episodes.

Other than that, there are some parody/gag anime/manga with detective themes, but I wouldn't call them "detective shows", such as Cuticle Detective Inaba and Tantei Opera Milky Holmes. Both are basically idiotic fast-paced gag animes.

It does still get acknowledged a few times in Part 3, its just afterwards there's no reason for it to get involved because of the specifics of how it works, and the change in scale of the conflicts that the series follows.

...I really don't get what you're saying on the second part. Stands are still part of people.

It is season 4 where it gets nuked. Season 3 there is even a guy who can use stands and Hamon through the stands from what I am told.

Also, what anime has the best Aesthetics?
That's not subjective at all
It's not like I'm asking for an opinion.

It's also not like literally everyone is going to say things like "JJBA" and "Madoka" anyway. :P

OH, ALSO

(just a small nitpick, there's a difference between Parts and Seasons. Season 1 is composed of both Part 1 and Part 2).

And yes, that's what I was talking about. There are no more vampires after part 3, so there was no need for Hamon to be involved afterwards, and like I said before the parts after Part 3 focus on events that take place in more isolated locations so there's no chance for it to get brought up in the first place. Especially since the sole Hamon user in Part 3 had been neglecting his training during the 50 or so years between Parts 2 and 3 due to personal reasons and wasn't in a shape or situation to use it in later appearances.

Part 4 for example is about an extremely small scale set of events along with the daily lives of the inhabitants of a small japanese suburb, and Part 6 mostly takes place inside a prison.
