Well, in the Virginia case, the "CP" was cutouts of magazine type images (girls in swimsuits cribbed from clothing catalogues). But they were construe to be CP for the purposes of the case, which was mainly against the cartoon stuff. Basically the used the photo images as the justification of the obscenity charge.

I've mentioned it because I wanted to point out how much of a grey area this is. It's not like there's a line and things are clearly CP on this side, and non-CP on the other side. Non-CP things can be legally construed to be CP, based on the context. Like if you had a video of one of those horrid child beauty pageants, they could construe that as CP, in the same sense as a clothing catalogue is CP.

North Carolina: two 16 year olds charged with distributing CP for swapping nude pics. Ironically, in NC you're considered an adult at 16 for being charged with a crime, but a minor in terms of the photo's contents. So they've both been charged with multiple citations of "sexual exploitation of a minor", and in most of the charges, the "minor" is themselves. A survey revealed that 28% of U.S. minors have sent explicit photos of themselves to others. That's distributing child porn according to the law. Almost 1 in 3 people have done it.

It's anime, what do you expect?

Apparently, Skallagrim has high hopes...from a different series of course.

Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress is like the summer blockbuster anime that came out in the spring. It's, you know, what it is. Vaguely like AoT, but right now, better on the big damn heroes moments that blockbusters are known for imo. Mileage and all that.

You quote Skallagrim, I bring the most opposite of what ya linked.

That's crazier than the norm, and the norm is crazy.

Thank you for your recommendations (those will be watched carefully!)

Anyway..
For some strange reason, I started Mononoke, quite unique style, don't know exactly what to think ...
Any thoughts on this?

Mononoke is definitely an interesting series, but not the easiest one to actually watch. I probably wouldn't watch it more than once, but it's a good one to have seen.

Do you think One Punch Man could beat Goku?

yes

saitama is a joke character whose main character trait is being able to beat everyone

his feats in the comic aren't nearly as great as Goku's are in his, but that doesn't matter because beating stupidly strong opponents is what Saitama is.

If Saitama loses, it's because the writer didn't understand parody.

The real question is, could Jojo(any of 'em) beat Goku?

Superman, assuming you count cartoons as Western anime.

Superman isn't a Jojo.

Mononoke is weird because the art style is both offputting and also really nice at the same time.
Every single arc, at first I was going "Ehhhh..." and then by the end I was completely into it. It is, at least from what I've seen, the most interesting demon hunting anime out there and it's a shame there isn't more stuff in that type of vein.

I hope you watched episodes 9-11 of Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales, because that's the prequel to Mononoke and probably the best arc.

Superman fought Duran, who was one half of the band Duran Duran.

I'd count at least three. The flying thing, nippleparrying bullets stance, and kent-glassesing. Points off for rarely chaining them, though, which is indeed a mark against jojo mojo.

Also @Ree&FD: There's also a Mannheim in there, which is clearly a steamroller reference. Yes, I'm aware that the superman one showed up three years before the band. That makes as much difference as the Beetle's Walrus song vis a vis Sonic.
