Wow, I discovered something new about Teekyu just now. If you look at the staff credits you can see there's one guy who's job is "Director, Sound Director, Episode Director, Script, Storyboard, Character Design, In-Between Animation, Key Animation" and the only other staff on the anime are the voice actors / song performers. He's directed some mainstream series as well, and there are some pretty popular seiyuu in his show such as Hana Kanazawa. So he's literally one dude making an anime with his harem of cute voice actresses :/
Sounds like he could make a harem anime about him making anime.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

I think only .Hack really tried to make what living in a MMO would be like or the whole MMO culture... without it turning into a different anime.

With characters turning out to be entirely different people when they were brought to his side... roleplayers... and such.

It is unfortunately the most talky anime of all time... so it can be hard to watch sometimes.

I still love BT :P
Said it before, but if you want an MMO story that is actually about MMOs and not haremshit or politics or whatever, Legendary Moonlight Sculptor is your dig. If you're willing to read, anyways.

A good, well-researched political anime actually wouldn't be too bad.

There's never enough well-researched intellectual anime to stroke my brain-boner. How am I supposed to prove to other people I'm smarter than they are if I can't watch things they find incomprehensible?

Four eps into To Love Ru: Darkness and it's failed to be amazing yet, or any better than the rest of the series so far. It's ramped up the fanservice to new heights though. Maybe that was what the people meant by it being "better".

Ok here's my summation of the plot elements they added so far (no names, just tropes):

Yeah. I meant politics in the sense of anime politics, where everything is poorly concealed and/or nonsensical plots and twists.

It's a Korean novel + Manhwa not an anime.

Oook then... and the last Foreign anime I watched was Chinese (both of them... and one started off promising but ended up REALLY SLOW! and the other started off promising and ended up completely ridiculous to the point where it was one of my favorite animes of all time)

I appreciate the earlier mentions of .hack//sign. One of my favorites, and the first anime I watched all the way through. My friends I tried to get to watch it didn't like it, though.

Also, I've mentioned this before, but I just started the second season of Unlimited Budget Works, and I still think that the show would be vastly improved if Shirou were hit by a bus, impaled, or something. Pretty sure I was told that I need to play the game to understand why he is the way he is, but gosh it just drives me crazy every time I watch. Rin for the Win. Also, I'm really hoping that this season doesn't turn into a

There's no LMS show, just a 30 volume novella series and a more recent comic book adaptation. If it gets popular, it would probably be animated by a Japanese studio.

There is a law: It doesn't matter how justified something is, if it just gets on the nerves of its audience.

For example Sasuke from Naruto is perfectly justified in whining all the dang time, but it tires the audience.

A lot of the time excuses are just... well... excuses for making a better character. I've seen enough cheap characters in my lifetime thanks to my obsession with interesting/great premises instead of just seeking out commonly known great animes.

---

But more specifically if they couldn't fit in the scenes required to make you understand a character... they should have toned them down.
