... you probably shouldn't. Thing just straight up violates the forum ToS in under ten minutes. Tits everywhere, overt groping, etc.

Was kinda' curious when it was mentioned originally, because, y'know, initial looking didn't say it was outright porn, but. Might as well be. Literally the only thing it's lacking is mosaics.

Ohhh I was hoping it would be a little more interestingly bad... then porn.

Yeah, it's just doing the super-powers powered by orgasm thing, without even having the modicum of decency to have it power giant robots. Initial impression is it's pretty much entirely without worth, even as mocking material. Except as only barely soft softcore porn you might be able to trick your parents into buying for you, or something like that.

Oh, the summary I read made it sound like it was entertainingly stupid/bad as well as being borderline-obscene.  If it's not even MST-able, that's just a shame.

Borderline would be a no -- when I said the only thing it was lacking was the mosaics, that was pretty literal. Entertainingly stupid would... also be a no, really. It had iffy fighting and iffy fucking, and the rest of it was just kinda' of desultory. Low effort and enthusiasm writing -- MSTing usually takes at least the latter, or preferably both and just a staggering lack of skill. Stupid/bad, though, sure. Unless something happens after the first episode to make it somehow redeemable, I wouldn't even recommend watching on a lark :-\

Man the Mohist school in Qin's Moon must be the most violent pacifists I ever seen in my life.

Their temple is full of deadly booby-traps, their weapons are all super deadly machine arms, and anyone who breaks the law has to basically go through a death trap dungeon that is nearly impossible to win and can be OUTRIGHT impossible depending on who broke the law (and the laws can be broken simply by talking behind someone's back).

Heck two challenges in particular are
1) You have to pull a 1000 pound chain, so if you aren't strong... DEAD!
2) A Music box that will drive you insane if you don't have the skill for martial arts... after which buzz saws spring out and slice you into ribbons.
And that is just in the "There is a good way solving these are outright impossible" category. Nevermind that getting through requires indepth knowledge of philosophy, boardgames, astrology, music, mechanics, several languages...

Seriously I am starting to see why some pieces of fiction poke at the overall "heroes and villains" morality system of Wuxia.

I'd be terribly concerned if you had watched fraken fran, considering it doesn't seem to have received an anime adaptation :P

S'got (a completed) manga and an audio drama, near as I could tell, but nothing animated.

Still. Can't actually recommend it, due to its content, but I will say it's pretty much the only guro-style/focused piece of media I've actually enjoyed experiencing, pretty much ever. If you can stomach that sort of thing, it might be worth having a go at.

I'd recommend it. The reason its more palatable is probably that unlike other guro it doesn't take a nasty/sadistic tone that makes you cringe. The frankendoctor in Frankenfran is actually well-meaning and cheerful and honestly believes she's helping people. So it's a gory black comedy rather than strict horror.

In the news recently, there's an American live action film production of the Tiger and Bunny anime in the works. Ron Howard is producing it. Along with Ghost in the Shell, that makes two seinen type animes that have been announced as getting the Hollywood treatment, which is definitely a new development.

Concrete Revolution, Nanatsu no Taizai, Akatsuki no Yona, Death Parade, or the adaption of Assassination Classroom? Getting bored rewatching through the long slog of UC Gundam again, so I'm willing to give anything half-decent a shot.

Death Parade is the best of that bunch. Definitely worth seeing, it's a really unique series concept and execution.

Akatsuki no Yona is basically light fantasy with an interesting setting. It's like the shoujo version of Arslan Senki basically, quite similar in terms of overall plot. Except for the bit where there's romantic tension between the lead charater and the main warrior dude. Arslan Senki doesn't have that.

Nanatsu no Taizai is an over-the-top shonen type series. Reviewers compare it to One Piece or Fairy Tail. I'll definitely say the show is completely bonkers, the fights are insane and it never got boring or predictable. It has another season coming next year.

Assassination Classroom was pretty good, but I don't know the manga so I can't say how they compare

Since Madoka was mentioned somewhat recently, I'll share these short comic strips I found.

Beware of spoilers, should probably make sure to finish the series first. I don't think there's any movie spoilers.

Should probably mention an important detail about Gangsta. The show ends on a cliffhanger, and the studio adapting it filed for bankruptcy the other day. So if you go into it, be aware of that fact, and you're probably going to have to read the manga if you want a continuation. It's hard to say though, since other studios will definitely hire their animators and snap up the rights to their back catalog.

Caught up the second ep of Young Black Jack, yeah that was a pretty weird ending. It's like there was a huge missing scene there, but everything is magically ok.

Now I'm onto the current season of Kindaichi: World's Stupidest Detective. Somehow both shows are seeming to be on the same wavelength. At least Kindaichi cuts right to the chase. Even before the two minute mark I was laughing out loud at how preposterous the first episode is. Someone was stuck in an underground bunker for 18 years living off old army rations. The guy apparently couldn't get out by himself despite there being tons of military equipment down there with him...there's plenty of steel stuff down there with him, you'd think he'd be able to chip through a brick wall in 18 years. Prisoners manage to dig their way out with a fucking spoon when people are deliberately trying to keep them in there. You can't tell me a guy who's completely left alone, who has guns, steel combat knives and crates full of WWII military rations can't fashion a way to dig through a cave wall. Even if the knives break, 18 years worth of tinned food should fashion quite enough makeshift chisels.

EDIT: And at the start of the second episode there's this whopping piece of logic (not a huge spoiler). Someone is being set up to look like a murderer, each time he's alone he ends up being framed in a locked-room murder scenario. So the good guys know this, so they decide the only solution is to keep him locked in a room ... by himself.
