I'm going to at least check it out. Studio Madhouse and all, and the teaser videos I've seen look pretty spectacular.

Madhouse's name doesn't mean a lot these days since they went bankrupt and got bought out. Most of the top people left.

They're still riding on good will, but they gave us NGNL and Mahouka last year, so there's that ...
Ah. I wasn't aware of that :/

...well, I'll still give it a shot. Like I said, the teaser videos look pretty good and OPM's story is way better than those other projects.

Anyways, the opening song for Gundam:Iron blooded orphans has been released.
Show airs on Oct 4th. Can't wait! *vibrates*
*blinks* Hey, hold up. When the hell did Guts show up? Ah, I'm sorry, he's going by "Akihiro" now, apparently. *stares*

... also, what the blue hell is Poco from Arc the freaking Lad doing there? Don't you lie, "Biscuit". You may have changed your hat, but it's incredibly obvious who you are, you freakish dimension hoping incompetent. This troubles me more than it should.

...
...
...

lastly, I've obviously missed something, but why in the name of zeus the vigorously potato'd do they appear to be piloting in the nude

I'd ask that you please tell me it's "just" shirtless, but even that is bad enough...

They seem to be shirtless partially due to being a disposable cannon fodder division of a pmc company, but mostly because in this universe MS seem to use actual neural plug connections to operate, so because of the aformentioned thing I assume they don't have proper pilot suits so pilot shirtless so that the plugs on their spines can connect to the MS

Anime is Japanese for animation
Ye gods, this. It's the literal truth, it makes sense as a delineation -- hell, even the OED supports this.

For that matter, I'd also argue that webcomics should be considered separately from both Eastern and Western print media -- they've developed around a different sort of culture and format than either, in much the same way that Western comic books aren't equatable to the three-panel and longer colored Sunday strips you get in the newspaper. Hierarchical form and genre separations exist for good reason: it's terribly difficult to succinctly describe a work or discuss stylistic elements peculiar to a specific type of work (or even attempt to constrain discussion to a particular topic) when... people are blathering on about the vague half-baked associations they have.

It's like someone insisting that SF short stories, Industrial Revolution-era poetry, and soft-porn novellas should all be included together in one form called "SPGLDMSS" or whatever other placeholder you prefer because obviously they're all more or less similar, but Asimov or Wordsworth should be left out because you don't think they fit the style.

So they can afford giant robots, but they can't afford a well-tailored shirt with four holes in the back.

I am very excited for the One Punch Man anime. Binge read through the manga and then the webcomic a couple days ago. Licenceless Rider is the best.

I'm still adamant that Licenceless Rider only looks incompetent because he regularly goes up against Daemon level monsters, in a normal fight against goons, he's probably like a poor batman.

There's a word for people who would accuse others of being racist over something so meaningless. Whether "anime" is defined by the style or origin, you should probably not bring up something as serious as racism over semantics. Sheesh, its Just Words.

That is quite common in settings. Mr. Satan for example isn't a world champion for nothing and probably should have beat up Goku the first time he joined the world tournament.

Yet... it doesn't mean much when there are super powered beings around.

Same here. If he would just stick to capturing common criminals, he'd probably be fine. But nooooo, he has to be all noble and heroic and stuff :P

God I hope they keep the Sea King arc. Licenseless Rider's best moment in the series (so far).

Well, Working!!! (season 3) just ended. And amazingly, all the plot threads and running gags received closure. That isn't just rare in slice of life series, but is very rare in the western equivalent of situation comedy, the number of series that just get cancelled without any ending vastly outnumbers the series where they actually have a proper finale.

So, yeah Working! scores points for actually addressing all the plot threads that wound through the series. It kind of vaguely reminds me of comedies such as Ranma in the way you have these running gag side-characters that pop up, and there is a web of confused character relations and miscommunication. Only caveat, if you're not a fan of slapstick violence then some of the gags might offend you (although at least nobody pretends the violence is ok, even the perps in this series realize it's a problem, so it could count as a deconstruction).

EDIT: And I'm watching Overlord now. Someone mentioned once that OP heroes are not always a bad thing. I really get what that means with Overlord. The hero is totally OP but it's still fun to watch because the story is so varied.

Nanatsu no Taizai getting a new season next year. I'm not normally big on shonens, but that show was just bonkers. A good watch for the shonen fans here!

http://myanimelist.net/anime/23755/Nanatsu_no_Taizai

I've also worked out one reason Diamond no Ace is so popular in Japan. With each baseball team, that's another dozen or so speaking roles, and if you look at the list of voice actors it's a veritable who's-who of male Seiyuu. There are over 100 speaking roles so far, and almost all male characters. So, for a lot of people their favorite voice actors from other shows will turn up in this one, which would definitely grow your viewers.

There was an anime I saw a long time ago that was awesome and I heard it was getting another season but I cannot remember its name for the life of me.

It is a card game anime where the card games just flat out don't matter (or rather they matter... but they never really tell you how it is played or focus on the actual gameplay of it). And those who keep winning and do a "Vague list of requirements" can have their wishes fulfilled.

Each deck also features a girl.

There are like 90 shittons of card-game animes.  Though the one I know about that is having new episodes released was one of the Vanguard Cardfights or somethingsomething Buddyfights or somefing.
