Heh. I'm not sure I'd call 08th underrated considering it's one of the gundam series I see most commonly suggested to newcomers

'Bout everyone seems to agree it's pretty awesome. Which is good and rightful, 'cause it's pretty awesome.

I actually will mention SEED, but only in the sense that despite everything it's somehow managed to produce some of the better gundam fanfiction. That's more or less its one redeeming feature. Apparently it's just terrible enough people like to play in the playground while still being so terrible almost no one actually likes the show :V

Seems like half the time it's just to kill off flay, but... I can dig that >_>

Now... destiny. Destiny. That one may actually be entirely without redeeming features. I haven't even noticed many fics that bother trying to kill off its characters, ha.

08th MS Team isn't underrated... considering I'm sure many folks do give it a positive mention.

Heh. Yeah, zeon may have started off on the moral high ground, but they promptly had their zakus take a heat axe to the sides and carve out a stairway straight to hell :V

EFF were still jerks of pretty high quality, though.

Personally I have to give the weirdest Mobile Weapons design to G-Reco, since as much as I love its designs, there's no other way of describing the Darma, G-Rach, and Trinity.

...also since it has a Gundam with a Monoeye and Command Horn.

I still can't really get over the giant wheels or the beam rotors, m'self. Pretty sure it was the jovians with particularly oddball machines? For one of the earlier series, anyway. One of those further-out-in-the-solar-system factions, anyway.

Twas Zanscare in Victory you're referring to I believe. Some of their stuff gets pretty odd yeah. Escpecially in Crossbone Ghost.

I just started Mysterious Girlfriend X, and it's weird enough to hold my interest, but I'm a little offput by how noone is freaked out by how our main heroine is an alien freak monster with magic saliva. I can kinda understand our main character Tsubake cause he's a horny teen who is perfectly willing to put aside critical, crucial details that potentially jeopardizes his safety and sanity for the sake of possibly getting laid, which is a feeling I understand completely, but everyone else has no excuse.

Started watching Tetsuwan Birdy Decode again after I happened across a video that reminded me of how well-done the fights were. Not in the sense of Unlimited Budget Works so much as a fluid and highly mobile style of animation that contrasts with both the "stand around and yell" and "we don't need to pay for animating motion, just draw black lines" methods. It's a bit heavy on the fanservice, but the plot twist makes up for that.

I just finished up Ashita No Joe 2, and damn that was an ending to end all endings. Really sends you reeling. Highly recommended show.

Congratulations God Eater you have achieved what countless other animes could not. You had a main character who has a weakness that wasn't instantly overcome, wasn't really a weakness, or secretly be a strength.
