Well you wanted legal. If you want something both free and ad-free, then it's certainly not going to be showing up on a company-based site. :P

Would discussions about abridged anime go here?

All fanfics are heresy, each and every one, especially the shipping ones. Those are by far the worst.

Everything anime related goes here. That's better than having it in multiple threads.

On an entirely unrelated note, would pre-Shrodinger Alucard be seriously hurt by a zanpakuto? The name translates to "soul slayer", after all.

Does it actually slay souls more than any other sword capable of harming spirits?

A baseline zanpakuto is basically the equivalent of a +1 Longsword or whatever, though. It's able to hurt ghosts because it's a magic ghost-sword, but that doesn't mean it instagibs undead and spirits when they're touched.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

If I have to praise Fairytale about one thing in particular... It never overplays the "Villain is an unstoppable thing and just beats on the heroes until they win"

EVERY SINGLE DBZ villain does this... All of them!

Maaaan, the censoring in Jojo Stardust Crusaders on Crunchyroll is lame. A guy having his tongue explode into gore and a shark getting torn in half hardly seems like material bad enough to be censored. Really spoils the immersion to have blatant parts of the scene magically turn into unsubtle blackness.
